I would love to see some modern MANPADs like the FIM-92J to go along with this. The FIM-92J compared to the early models we have ingame has ECCM a proximity fuse and is very maneuverable. A very deadly threat to enemy aircraft. There is also the Type 91, Starstreak, and Mistral among others.

We definitely need more MANPAD, especially the more modern ones, the currently available MANPADs in game are all from the 80s.

The 0.50BMG is 12.7x99, the monstrosity above is based on the 14.5x114 cartridge.

Yep, its AP round will penetrate the sides of a BTR-80 at decent ranges.

It was over 2 miles bud, before that the longest recorded confirmed kill was just under 1.7 miles. Neither of these were one shot kills, they both walked rounds onto the target.

With a .50 rounds its more about the kinetic energy transfer than penetrative effect (on a human body).
