Out of curiosity, what mod/s did you locate to be the issue?  I have seen 2 mentioned in other posts, VSN F-4B/C and the A-4C.  I took the A-4 up this morning from a cold start and launched off the carrier with no issues.  Our server runs the Bronc, Hercules, Cayuse, and A-4C, along with the Vietnam Asset Pack and some ships by Eightball.  No issues flying any of them and no conflicts with AI mods in game.

Hi Devil! Ask your members what mods they have in Saved Games you do not. I've seen the Su-33 something mod mentioned. I guess what's on the server is irrelevant.

Regarding the MODS, as it was I was  having a MODS issue prior to the update coming, So 90% of my MODS are off and I'm working them back in. So will start again, after I merge the CH MODS

Thank you to ALL of you who have chipped in, It all helps......so MOD ON, TEST WITH DCS, MORE MODS ON..TEST....Have some beer....I have so many MODS I'll be well oiled this evening.

Hi Nic_17 and all who responded, ARROW3, is the only MOD I've lost, so far, long way to go. FYI, I had missed a couple of updates, for China & Russia. so set up an A10 on the ground in Nevada, with Chinese, Russian and USA assests in front of it, so far the Russian Guy has hit the Chinese guy every time, while the Abrams....seems to smell of coffee? lol

Obviously if you see the assets on the MAP in the mission, you can crack on. Cheers....& yes I'm enjoying the beer

The VSN_F4 is the one that was hosing up spawning ground units and ships. Removed that, and magically everything worked again.

To get head of any other problems with future patches, I also started just axing a lot of modern platforms (e.g., Su-30 mod) as DCS Academy is shifting wholesale to Cold War. I heard other folks were having issues with the Su-30 mod and they removed that to fix their issues with this patch. I had already removed it as part of my "remove modern aircraft mods" doctrine to ease my pain with this patch and future mod maintenance as DCS Academy won't be using those mods for quite a while.

Right on man! That is what I have been tracking as well.  I was not using the VSN F-4 because I roll with Heat Blurs.  The other two guys I fly with are the same.  We have never messed with the SU-30 mod.  Last time we attempted the Super Hornet mod, it messed everything up and we had to ditch it.  One of these days ED will get around to making one. Appreciate the feedback my friend!

@Devil 505 I have a question. In the planes you used, you listed Hercules among others and everything worked fine. Do you know what could be the reason that adding Hercules for me causes me not to create a quick mission? I dig out the map and DCS is stuck on the loading window. Hercules ver 6.8.2. After removing Hercules I don't have this problem.

Does anyone know the proper setup for an S-350 site? Is it basically one of each under the [CH] S-350? Or, does anyone have a template for these?

Yes, one of each. The system has two types of launchers (100 & 96D). It follows the set up of most other SAM suites, as in, 1 CC vehicle, 1 SR, 1 TR & as many launchers as you want. You can add vanilla support vehicles if you wish. If the system is not on an airfield you will need to add a truck if you want it to rearm.

B-21s dropping JASSM-ER is causing DCS to freeze up completely. Replicated 5 times to make sure it's not something random. Deleted the B-21s and mission ran fine.

Hello, yes I confirm JASSM-ER (B-21) immediately after the release blocks DCS.

hey guys, is there any CH asset that brings the Exocet missile? 

I've seen in logs that its causing errors.

EDIT : Seems like no CH package ( at least for me ) is making units disappear.

I'm still tryin' to understand which mod is causing that after last ED patch...

EDIT 2 : To me the Felon mod was causing units not to spawn in game, all CH packages are good.

Dropping ADM-160B also causing DCS to freeze up.

Oh, that's a shame. They're the most effective counter to the S-350 in the Russia Asset Pack. 😞

Looks like I'd better just remove the asset packs from my campaigns for now, till this gets fixed.

I tested to see if today's DCS update might have changed anything with regard to the freezing. Sadly, no difference. DCS still freezes up when the B-21 drops its ordnance. I'm guessing it's probably something that CH will have to fix on his end.

Well, i have to start a new Retribution campaign without CH’s assets, make me very uncomfortable. The CH’s assets are awesome.

Yeah, same. I've gotten kinda used to using them and now I can't for now. They add so much to the experience.

are you guys using Open Beta branch of DCS, because i do, and all my mods work just fine, which include all of CH's mod packs.

Nope, neither are you. OpenBeta doesn't exist anymore. They trimmed that branch away. 😉

Standalone = OpenBeta.

LOL. Maybe the older, the stabler.

The older versions fit mods and seems have better FPS performance.

Good day folks!

Anyone knows if CH mods are going to receive some updates to fix the latest issues caused by latest DCS patch? I wish someone in ED's team could help maintaining mods functionality in future! Community hard work shouldn't be rewarded this way each single update & cause more stress on modders!

Eagle Dynamics priority has to be their core game, add on mods have always had to adapt to the core game engine and I cant ever see that being any different.  And, of course, the core game is ever eveloving, ever changing, that is the nature of this lovely beast.

I agree, i's a damn nuisance, but it's a damn nuisance we have to live with.  In many cases moderators try to help with issues and I have nearly always found them to listen to problems and where possible they will try to solve that problem, if they can.  It all takes time, and we have to be patient. 

As somebody who does 'things' for the game I can admit to a very short temper and verify to having no hair and no fingernails, and I have been known to lie in the garden screaming at the moon from time to time.Thats the nature of this beast !!  (I do not admit to being lovely !!)
