Thank you.
is there an automatic solution possible or does it mean I have to re download the specific pack again?

You have to re-download manually

That's correct. But also, the new DCS core assets will be completely unique from the mod packs. So there will be no issues if you don't update the mod packs immediately. No conflicts between the core assets and mod packs. 👍🏻

There is a launch time for the integration on Currenthill mods in DCS as official assets?

I have it on good authority they'll be out in two weeks.

DCS badly needs some more unarmed AI human figures particularly for the WW 2 mission builders. We need such figures mainly to populate airfields. There is also a need for them to have different postures. Some examples that spring to mind are:

Standing, leaning, sitting and squatting;   Airmen, Ground crews, Officers ( non animated if semi- animation too hard)

Standing Ground crew using hands to beckon aircraft into parking, ( say for 10 secs)   then raising arms to signal stop

(say for 5 seconds) - These  should be semi-animated, like some carrier deck figures. With those 2 animated actions in the one file, we could use triggers to activate them as aircraft approaches parking ramp as follows:

Plane triggers ground crew beckoning when pilot 15 metres from park spot. After 10 secs. his arms are raised for 5 secs. Pilot brakes and stops.

I can think of many more examples, but the above would hugely improve realism in M/E.

Regards, Mich.

DCS badly needs fortification for troops. Currently infantry almost useless (except helicopter transport missions). Troops must have ability to use structures as fortifications.

- ATGM soldiers (Javelin, Kornet...)
- Diversified AT and trooper
- Transportable mortiers
- Transportable "pilots" (for CSAR mission)
- Civils (Hostages, VIP, etc...)

Hello CH!

Congrats on getting to the core game, as i understand on the FAQ you said that you would concentrate on inporting the current models to the new standards and maintaining the packs, but if i remeber corretly there was some screenshots of some chinese helicopters in development by you, are those comming out?

Thank you for your incredible work.

You are perfectly correct. I have a couple of Chinese assets not yet released. They aren't completely done yet, but it would be a waste not to release them if they are almost finished. I will probably go back to the Chinese pack after the release of the core assets and see which additions can be made to the mod packs with light work. 👍🏻

Good to know because I was looking for it on the Steam store.

I hope you'll consider adding the S-300V and V4 system to the Russia pack down the line.

So with your assets being integrated, our bugs would be patched by ED's SDK?

So I redownloaded the US pack today, specifically because I wanted to use the M551 in a mission/video I’m working on. For some reason, it’s no where to be found in the units list. Any help is appreciated!

I noticed a new bug that maybe the missile placement on the Ticonderoga was changed after the recent update, causing the ship to explode and the game to crash whenever missiles are fired. it still working normal with Arleigh Burke IIa and III

Yep, thanks. I was made aware of this yesterday. The issue most likely because I was doing my testing of the mod packs in a different version of DCS. 🤪

@currenthill

I understand you can't really answer to my question, but :
In your future addition for DCS core, are you going to add yours infantries's mod (Javelin, Kornet, snipers, etc...) ?
I fly with the 06 Multirole Helicpter Regiment (Who doesn't use mods) and it will be gamechanger for our transports (CH-47, Mi-8, Huey, even Mi-24) to have the possibily to transport soldiers with ATGM to defend city against IFV or Tanks. RPG soldiers are not a real threat against convoys, but anti material snipers or ATGM are.
Embarking mortars teams without any script is a must have too.

I hope your future core addition are infantries, because DCS core is really really lack of differents soldiers.

I guess there's no other way to install these mods than c drive? I have only 10 gigs left on c drive so I guess I am out of luck then? If there would be any possibility to install these mods to same drive as dcs it would be awesome.

I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. CH has repeatedly stated that he likes having the freedom and control to create anything.

Not integrated yet. I think it will be out soon though after listening to a recent interview he gave on a YouTube channel.
