Yep, I really like the old school version without all the extra armor. And the core game version is a bit lackluster.

Looks great!

I was just going to bring that up - maybe given more time and resources to modify your existing 3D model, I think it'd make sense to add an up-armored variant, with reactive armor tiles along the skirts over the road wheels, slat armor around the turret bustle and engine compartment, a remote-controlled 7.62 NATO FN MAG machine gun turret, a platform atop the turret (with antennas that can reportedly jam remotely-detonated weapons), and ECM equipment on the forward fenders.

Haha, the massive TES a.k.a Megatron weighing in at a hefty 75 tons, with the same 1200 hp Perkins.🤪

Yeah, that thing is a behemoth.  The next heaviest modern MBTs in service are the M1A2 SEPv3 and Leopard 2A8, both weighing in at around 67 metric tons, and those things have 1500 hp.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it can be done. Not until ED releases tools for implementing these kind of weapons (which they won’t).

The current solution is the best available workaround. The alternative would be to remove them.

I like these heavily camouflaged vehicles - its how they would be for war fighting and they look much better than the pristine versions.

Its a hard look to replicate in game though, I appreciate that, and certainly does not detract from CH's superb models.

Is anyone else having issues with installing the packs, I install them correctly and do not have the historical filter on but they never show in the editor. I know i'm installing them correctly as I used to have all the packs installed before the last major update. When that update came out it broke my DCS so I had to delete the mods and mess around with it, eventually fixed it by switching to multi threading not sure if that has something to do with it. Since then I have been unable to use these packs at all. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Just tested on latest DCS MT, and the CH assets seem to work normally. I enable them using the OvGME manager, like this:

Within DCS I can check it is enabled on the Module Manager:

On the ME I have the historic filter disabled, and Current Hill assets show up with a [CH] prefix, like this:

and once the mission is running they show up as normal:

ST or MT shouldn’t make a difference, your saved games folder is independent.

Id check you don’t have a duplicate folder if you’ve had to delete/reinstall stuff.

I was told that the Currenthill mods no longer work as zip files in OVGME and have to be unzipped. I unzipped them and activated them in OVGME, but it ends up getting installed in the mods folder in program files instead of the mod folder in saved games. How can I fix this?

Change the Configuration Root Folder in OVGME to your saved games mod folder?

Ok. Will this mess up my other OVGME mods that do need to go into the program files folder?

@currenthill

Hi CH, love all your Mods and Assets you made for DCS.

any chance you can make a variant of the AIM-174B mod that replaces the AIM-120C variant instead of the B?

To make it compatible with other mods that replaces the B?

Thanks

Yes, just create another Configurations Mods Folder.

yes, but not using a Mod manager means a lot of manual work when diagnosing any future Mod conflict.
