To get head of any other problems with future patches, I also started just axing a lot of modern platforms (e.g., Su-30 mod) as DCS Academy is shifting wholesale to Cold War. I heard other folks were having issues with the Su-30 mod and they removed that to fix their issues with this patch. I had already removed it as part of my "remove modern aircraft mods" doctrine to ease my pain with this patch and future mod maintenance as DCS Academy won't be using those mods for quite a while. Right on man! That is what I have been tracking as well. I was not using the VSN F-4 because I roll with Heat Blurs. The other two guys I fly with are the same. We have never messed with the SU-30 mod. Last time we attempted the Super Hornet mod, it messed everything up and we had to ditch it. One of these days ED will get around to making one. Do you know what could be the reason that adding Hercules for me causes me not to create a quick mission? I dig out the map and DCS is stuck on the loading window. Hercules ver 6.8.2. After removing Hercules I don't have this problem.

It follows the set up of most other SAM suites, as in, 1 CC vehicle, 1 SR, 1 TR & as many launchers as you want. You can add vanilla support vehicles if you wish. If the system is not on an airfield you will need to add a truck if you want it to rearm. 5

EDIT : Seems like no CH package ( at least for me ) is making units disappear. I'm still tryin' to understand which mod is causing that after last ED patch... They're the most effective counter to the S-350 in the Russia Asset Pack. Looks like I'd better just remove the asset packs from my campaigns for now, till this gets fixed. 1

Well, i have to start a new Retribution campaign without CH’s assets, make me very uncomfortable. The CH’s assets are awesome. 2

Nope, neither are you. OpenBeta doesn't exist anymore. They trimmed that branch away. Standalone = OpenBeta. And, of course, the core game is ever eveloving, ever changing, that is the nature of this lovely beast. I agree, i's a damn nuisance, but it's a damn nuisance we have to live with. In many cases moderators try to help with issues and I have nearly always found them to listen to problems and where possible they will try to solve that problem, if they can. It all takes time, and we have to be patient. As somebody who does 'things' for the game I can admit to a very short temper and verify to having no hair and no fingernails, and I have been known to lie in the garden screaming at the moon from time to time.Thats the nature of this beast !! I would not hold my breath for updates any time soon... However, I don't think CH units are problematic, but is more like other mods might create some problems when working together.
