For conveying big News or for being the big guy who is new? 😁

off topic now, but I served with my brother in the same battalion, I am bigger than he is, and our surname is Newnham.
Infantry guys are not very creative with nicknames 🙂

Final checks permitting we are still good for today, just need to be patient now.

Looking forward to everyone's feedback and reports.

I hope people are aware, that potholes are inevitable with such a profound update, and will be relaxed with initial hickups..... I mean - I hope for the best, but am fully prepared to experience some weirdness along the way.

@ThorBrasilSSS could be Sub-Surface Scattering. If it's not for even more photorealistic water rendering then the ONLY thing I could think of is... soldier ears... when the light source is on the opposite side to the camera. It works wonders on goblin ears anyway 😉

iirc, BN already confirmed that SSS means screen space shadows. A (drawing from research somebody else did) mean to render shadows from small environment details without much strain on the GPU.

If you wanted to accidentally on purpose post the full 2.9 changelog a bit early, that would be cool 😉

That last one concerns me.  Does this mean they reel in the drogue after five gallons of fuel transferred?  Mission accomplished?

I've heard back-office rumors the sheep have bugs, or at the very least fleas.  Hopefully they get that fixed in time.

I heard that it's really an issue with the ratio of white sheep to black sheep...Veterans of the 403 Wolf Squadron are mediating...

I can hear the Click of each second movement of the minute hand on the clock on the other side of the room even with my headphones on to stop the madness of  my patient waiting. You did this to me. Shame on you.

Thanks for doing this hard work for all of us.

Yes that is why we have open beta, we will also have known issues in the change log for fixing later.

Maybe I should consider to disable all modules/maps that I'm not using that much right now before starting the update..... 🤔

disabled would still download them, you need to delete to save on download.

Right, ty. Still a good idea though I think, since reloading them one by one if I actually need them wouldn't take nearly as much time and also wouldn't collide with a busy server.
