I supported the AH-64 because I'm looking forward to the pilot/gunner multi-player ability. It will be interesting to employ teamwork between the pilot and gunner,..it sure will help with the pilot workload which is very noticeable in BS.

However, I do like the A-10 over other jets so for me it's as close to a win/win as you can get.

Helicopters is sucks. No speed, no strong, low fly altitude, not enough weapon.

Aircrafts... Wow...

I'm wondering. Since we don't get the AH-64D... do the earlier versions of the Apache also have the killbox technique and the ability to fire and forget Hellfire missiles? That's what I loved the most back in the Longbow 1 and 2 days.

I voted Apache since I've seen too many fixed wing sims already. :P

Not that I would mind to see a good combat plane in development, it's just that it is such a nice and refreshing change to have a good combat helo sim. I just can't get enough of it.

Thunderbolt II Is my vote. I really think Eagle staff made a great choice in choosing to do the A-10 next! This decision helps give Jet Heads a much needed update in Flight Sims who have long been in need of a new study sim that isnt a dogfight centric simulator.

And in the future this will as well feed rotor heads with the promice of an Apache sim (maybe with the next engine?!?!? WE CAN HOPE!!).

In either case, I will be buying the A-10 simulator, if nothing else than to support this fantastic company who clearly put out a quality product, so they can bring me the Apache. Im sure Ill be tooling around with the A-10 simulator once in a while anyway.

Voted AH-64 as well with the same thaught in mind as Airway. We know the A-10 will come next and we've flown it tons in LO. So i long after something new as well. Getting up in the Apache with a mate in MP gunner/pilot will be something extra for sure. Especially at this level of realism.

Can't wait to get up in the A-10 though as well hehe. Thats gonna be amazing. And we all know it.

yea contrary to popular beliefs, the Ah-64 is not guarantee to come after the A-10C module. It would depend on whatever information and resources are available at the moment in order to pull off these modules. But the A-10C is the next one, after that it is ambiguous at the moment.

That would be a damn shame if that is the case.

I voted for the A-10C, because the original version in LOMAC felt way too arcade. I want the "real" thing ;)

And yes, two people in one helicopter would be a blast, but then again, IMHO the AI for ground-troops would need some update first (throwing smoke, evading, spreading out, ..) and for more chopper-action I'd prefer some new trees (with collision!) and more detailed ground-features .. call me spoiled.

I guess those "fixes"/updates will not be around very soon ... so lets play with fixed wings while the underlaying engine (which originally was designed for planes and not for choppers) can get some (more) attention

I voted A-10...I'd be happy with both to be honest. AH is a hot ticket for sure...but to be hair, just because LOMAC has an A-10 doesn't mean it's comparable to what we'll see from DCS. Pretty certain it will be in a league of it's own.

I also agree that the apache will most likely requre more work (data is pretty much available and modeled after the last military contract with the A-10). Apache will require much more work and as a result need more than the "9" months required to finish it. 18 month it's doable.

Good poll though... :) wow, the thought of A-10 and Apache's with F16's on their shoulders gives me chills.

That seems to be a dominant factor in choosing what module will come next and that shouldn't be forgotten. That may not be the case with ubisoft given they're standards for "realism" aren't the same as Eagle Dynamics. (They're not terrible, just stating there's a difference).

If chopper heads want more chopper...MI-24 is dropping for EECH 2...read an article on that in SIMHQ.

Whats the point of this poll??

They announced already long time ago that the next module would be A-10.

Lets make a another poll, i vote for a battlestar galactica module.... duh

I dont drive fast, I just fly low:pilotfly:

Capitalletter, the point of the poll is as the OP stated: he's curious about what people favor. Nothing about what will be the next one, just what they would have preferred.

This is a spinoff from a different thread where there was a lot of discussion about the popularity of these two aircraft, and the best way to answer the question is to poll the people who hang out here.

No need to be assinine about it.
