Any news on the Mirage F1M?

4 months is apparently a short period of time from your perspective.  That's fine.  You aren't everyone.  Ostensibly, we all paid for the Mirage, enjoy the Mirage enough to remain interested, and are wondering when the module is going to be complete.  Perhaps the developers are so busy that even the 20 seconds it takes to say 'Hi' on the forum is just too much.

Well, they posted today, about getting the F-1 and C-101 for free if you purchase a  Pimax. So there's that.
I'm a sucker for news and updates myself and but I've learned that in DCS we will get news when the news is ready. Stopped pulling my hair out a while back.

In my opinion it is much more tiresome to have people again and again tell people that asking for news is useless and "it will come when it will come". This is a thread that in the title says it is about asking for news regarding the F1M and thus people do so. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but to willingly click on a thread about asking for news again and again just to tell people not to is questionable.

To add to the topic:
There can be a happy medium between having to receive weekly updates on everything and being ghosted on any progress for months at a time. Doesn't need to be finished things either. Just tell whatever currently is being worked on every few weeks or so. An update does not need to be ED newsletter length every time either.

And this is probably why we don't get any news. It takes longer than anticipated and they have nothing to show.
Of course I personally would've posted a: "we're working on it, still. Just takes time!", every week just to satisfy y'all.

I have indeed enjoyed the first 3 variants and Aerges should be proud of the work they have put in.  

That said, when we are dealing with a project that has no timelines and they already have our money, it makes sense to ask the devs to stay accountable.  

How long would it honestly take to slap some WiP screenshots in a forum post every 6 months? 

I'm sure you are a nice fellow, and I too enjoyed the single player content you put out.  

It's ok that we don't see eye to eye on this matter though.

Nah, it's just the way basically ED and every other day 3rd party operates. I've just gotten used to it. Most of the teams doesn't do it for a living.

Hi,

The world as we know it is about to collapse. Still no F1M. We don't already have enough modules...to keep us happy. Let Aerges mess around, they'll get in touch as soon as they have something to show. The F1BE & EE are very good examples. By the way: How long have we been waiting for the F-14 95 early & Iran version? We haven't heard anything from Aviastorm regarding the Tornado here in the forum either. The Bo-105 has been in development for how long (10 years)? Etc. It is what it is. As the motto in DCS is: Be patient. Aerges has done a great job so far & they will do the same with the F1M. I have the module myself. And I hope the F1M will be released soon. But it will take some time. For now, enjoy what's currently available in DCS.

Well, of course you would have, because that is the courteous thing to do, and you're probably a polite guy. The +1 stuff earlier, and the back and forth that followed would have alerted you to the fact that some people are getting annoyed.  And then you would come on to the forum and say, Hi guys, sorry for the lack of news, but we've been busy working on X,Y,and Z.  That seems like common sense, because a few sentences would probably cause this topic to go dormant again, or at least cancel some of the negativity.  And yet, they've let it drag on with nary a word, to the point that the ED moderators are now taking notice and telling people to dial it back. Why aren't they addressing the commotion themselves? I too approached this thread with the attitude that people were being a little too demanding, and that they just need to shut up and quit pestering the developers, but as I've seen the thread play out, with no logical response, I've changed my mind. To me, something seems a little off.  Hope I'm wrong.

I actually re-read the whole thread and it got me thinking. I know I bring up the radar a lot, and they even address it in one of the posts. I have a feeling they will use the "same" radar model in the F-104, which makes perfectly sense. And they might have started on the F-104 in parallel, which could be a reason for the "delays".

They already stated that they are working on the F-104 in parallel of the F1M and Radar Overall. They are a small team and they are increasing the quality of their current and future product. Let's be patient and wait for a good module. I'm pretty sure they are eager to share news aswell.

Are you serious?  No, after seeing their lack of response to recent customer comments in this thread, your quote doesn't mean anything to me now.   As I've been reading this thread over the past several days, I frequently saw the names of some of the official Aerges people at the bottom of the screen, concurrently reading the thread.  And THAT actually annoyed me, especially since people were starting to get nasty with each other.  If the sentence you've cherry picked from an obscure video about a VR headset is still applicable, then obviously one of the officials reading this topic could have re-asserted it right here and right now.  Why didn't they?
