Is it possible that you guys change the default Country it assigns you when you join through a Dynamic Slot ? For example, now if you join as Blue it always assigns you as Australia.
It will be best to be assigns Combined Join Task, because after you spawn it locks the Skin of the aircraft to the Country you are assigns, and Australia doesn't have any skins for aircraft if you couldn't choose the right one before spawning, you are stuck with the one you choose

yeah, just came to that conclusion after fighting with it for a while. Bummer that so much is only for MP.

Are there plans to allow for restricting spawns on a side?

With the current system you cant stop players from spawning as Red/Blue depending on airfield ownership.

EX: Blue Players, Red AI Mission: When setting airfields as Dynamic Spawn, players have the option of spawning Red when that is not intended. The goal in this case would be to only allow spawns once the airfield becomes owned by Blue.

Maybe in the password section, add an option in addition to Game master, Tac Commander, Observer, etc. for "Aircraft"?

 

 

Side comment: The "COPY TO" other airfield function in the warehouse menu does not work for Aircraft Settings and Dynamic Slot/HotStart settings

Wouldn't this kind of information be better placed in the DCS user manual? Who will remember this entry in the forum in a few weeks/months, or what about someone who is new to DCS? Will they even find this description here in the forum?

You've raised an important question, and I'm struggling with it too. I wish there could be different dynamic slot setups for an airfield when it's been captured by red or blue or some specific countries.

Such as: One heli pad belonged to blue, but it's been captured by red, so it can't spawn blue aircrafts. Instead, it spawns red aircrafts. Both blue spawns and red spawns were preset in ME.

Yeah it would be handy in the manual. But, I can understand how the manual can fall behind at the rate that new trigger features and functions are added. There would have to be some type of dynamic manual implemented, if that's even possible, I'm script/code illiterate. I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future, ED releases another updated manual. The DCS community is the most active simming community I've ever seen. Anytime there's a patch with new features, the content creators are on the ball, releasing a video on it.

Question, if say Camp Bastion has static aircraft populating locations that would be used for automatic dynamic spawn points, will the dynamic spawn point not work due to the static aircraft in the way?

Is there a known issue with Kandahar airport, its set as blue and all boxes are ticked for dynamic spawn options but its the only airfield that wont work and allow people to spawn as it doesnt show up in the list in my mission, all others work fine

Yep Kandahar is broken, even setting it as the only blue airport and dynamic spawns wont allow you to select anything to spawn into

This option is super great. However I think the selection of a dynamic slot should present the map also at first and if player wants to start selecting by map first then the aircraft ability to do so should exist. Sometimes you need to choose more depending on situation on ground than airframe. Like when front moves or airframes become unavailable.

The lack of SP support is a bummer considering the older slot system works great on SP and I know a bunch of people who want it on SP.
The work around is simple just host your own server but this really shouldn't be the case. I can't really think of a major reason why it's not available to SP unless you put all the code in the MP server code because you never thought about SP.

It's already possible, if you move a bit the UI of the spawn slot, you have underneath the map (like the F10 map), you can interact with that and select directly the airfield from the map itself

Is it possible to have a generic routing template for all aircraft? Don't want to be spawning a pile of aircraft just to be templates.

1. We need a way to enable/disable dynamic slots per coalition, currently its per airfield which is very limiting

2. Using warehouse stocks for choosing which aircraft are available for dynamic spawns is problematic, as it also affects AI that spawns at that airbase. We need a way to set these up separately from warehouse stocks, or, alternatively a way to make AI ignore warehouse stocks when spawning.

3. We need the dynamic slot UI in single player as well. Its very inconvenient to have to start up a server every time, especially when working on a mission.

4. Can we have a "template" skill level for setting up the template aircraft, instead of the checkbox, in order to not pollute the client list? The password recommendation seems like a workaround instead of a proper solution.

Is there any way to select in which spot are the dynamic slots appearing? I mean, I pick dynamic Huey and then dynamic F-18 and I spawn on the same place, and I would like to select parking slot where different units spawn

A possible workaround is to script all the warehouse to set 0 plane and resources if the airfield is of the "forbidden" coalition side, but since you can't change on the fly from unlimited to restricted and vice/versa it's a bit time consuming activity.

A simple option on mission editor will be much appreciated 😉

Can't even block players with a hook script from joining RED, dynamic slots does not trigger the  hook.onPlayerTryChangeSlot(number playerId, number side, string slotId )

Would be nice if this got fixed ASAP...

It would be great to be able to instantly create waypoints when you select a slot in MP, and then share those mission waypoints with other players (like in Aces high 2).

waypoint template system is a bit cumbersome, it would be nice if each aircraft could at least have multiple templates.

Yes this is very needed. The default spawn point allocation logic doesn't seem to be very good, which is both due to how DCS works but also how different developers make different maps

Please may I ask what the circled feature does, as I assumed it meant that these aircraft are available at the airfield, however I can select other types not ticked?

Apologies if I am not understanding this feature correctly and this is expected functionality.

Love the feature for hot cold starts by the way.
