This is just a workaround. I have some of friends who don't even install mods because they … understand how :). While it's not quantum physics, it's hard to expect everyone to know how to do it. If ORBX has this option for its add-ons, why doesn't ED do it?

We did have an option in the past, but people were doing silly things like installing stuff in OS drives and screwing up the OS.

We are considering a new system to allow different drives to be used for terrains, but I have no news to share currently.

All this talk of drive space - at least we have understanding 3rd-party devs that are nice enough to use up 31.4GB of your drive space for aircraft liveries.....of two AI aircraft..🤪🤔

(So yes they are in your install if you have the aircraft installed or not)

17.1GB - F14

14.3GB - F-4E

Don't get me wrong,  I love HB aircraft...but I mean come on..

All that complaining about livery size, while SSDs are the cheapest component in your PC… 🙄

So sniper pod still can't put bombs on moving targets?

No, also the LASER cannot be seen through the Litening LST mode..., so not possible at the momento to perform buddy lasing.

@BIGNEWY is expected to be solved?

Hi,

Fix is in progress currently, but not resolved yet, I do not have a date for the next patch at this time.

For me the sniper pod is pretty much useless.
I know, its a simulation and the 11 minutes is real world.
BUT
Those 11 minutes in a DCS map is WAY too long a time. With a hot start jet, load in the sniper, set a waypoint and take off. Those 11 mins arn't even half way done and you are over most targets on most maps/missions.
Needs a similar time to the lightning BIT time in special menu or similar for those of us who do not dedicate our lives to full on 100% sim larping with all the cold starts, radio calls, traffic patterns and so on that some may enjoy.

A normal startup procedure almost in any module takes almost those 10 minutes if you include taxi and take off. Even longer.

Dont know how many people starts flying hot. But not me or my squad mates.

Like I said, some people do, some don't.

Neither I nor anybody in my server or friend group flys cold starts for example.
Each to their own, neither is better/worse, more/less valid.

Maybe asking for a box in the special options for "aligned Sniper Pod"

You mean, exactly as I asked for in my first post?

If you start hot or airborne the pod will be instantly ready, wouldn't it?

You've asked for a similar BIT time as the Lightning pod, not for already aligned on cold start.
