By the way: about the 3 Ugra map: Normandy 2.x is the only map which does not have/uses procedural surfacedatail objects. (you know guys: this is the new "smallsh*t" stuff what (can) install small trees, bushes, shrubs, flowers, stones, rocks, mushrooms, branches, and other diverse small 3D objects on the surface "above graas": visible only in short range and cannot be adjustable the visibility range currently - not to be confused with the grass visibility range what got tweaking slider in the options menu/windows) Normandy 2.x .sd5 is empty, has no splatlayer-placement-protocol (yet), however on the old Normandy 1.x map .sd2 "planted" 4 different size of stones and 2 types of branches on the surface (amongst the sparse blades of grass). So, it would be good to remedy this shortcoming and see some surfacedetail objects update on the Normandy 2.0 map (and on the Caucasus and Modern-Marianas maps as well: and a new surfacedetail-visibility-range slider in the Options what is the duty of ED next to a new map-object-ref-model GLASS material+shader ) pic/gif by swartbyron (CW Germany map) : showing grass with/without surfacedetail objects: (flowers, bushes, shrubs) Edited October 11 by NRG-Vampire 1

Quick question though: are these ruined objects Dynamic in nature, i.e. they appear after a bomb explosion? Or they are static 'theme' that'll always just be there? Or are they based on the mission editor trigger (there's some triggers for damaged scenery something)? Edited October 10 by peachmonkey 3

Mav87th Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Make a small zone at areas in Caen and use the destroy objects on mission start on hose zones. You can also use explosions instead and have different levels of destruction in the zones. 3

forewarnedisforearmed Posted Wednesday at 12:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:17 PM The detailing of Kenley's Dispersals and officers mess are awesome, as well as the control towers of other airfields; Makes me really hope for RAF Hornchurch to be added to this map, if you are making Hornchurch then awesome, if not, please please do. If you do come around to making it, I have plenty of reference, research and data for the airfield site, such as photographs, site plans and aerial photography that I'd be more than happy to provide. Hornchurch was still in use by certain squadrons during 1944, and with the development of the winter version of this map, it was almost certainly in active use in Winter 1944. Hornchurch would also be in the High-Detail area as seen in the pinned post in the Normandy 2.0 forum. Other than that, terrific stuff Ugra, this map is really looking awesome 4
Scarecrow84 Posted Thursday at 10:00 AM Posted Thursday at 10:00 AM Just took a flight around Paris in the OH6. Spectacular! Locked at 60 fps, no freezes, knock on wood. I can't for the life of me understand why these maps aren't more popular in MP.
waterman Posted Thursday at 10:39 AM Posted Thursday at 10:39 AM (edited) My Big German BR52 2-10-0 Locomotives are lovin the new winter update Great job well done thankyou for the Fantastic Update Edited Thursday at 10:48 AM by waterman 3
REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted Thursday at 04:15 PM Posted Thursday at 04:15 PM I think the trees should be darker (I know it will never happen- but I'll post regardless). They all look shimmering white, which is off-putting and unrealistic. Google: "Aerial photo Winter" and add "Kent/Normandy" etc. In light snow conditions like these- woods and trees should have a dark hue: nullnull What I AM impressed by are the landmarks and the incredible amounts of detail. 4
Scoll Posted Thursday at 04:41 PM Posted Thursday at 04:41 PM WInter is awesome ! The snow is made of Teflon, no streaks, hard-wearing, always clean, even after a battalion of tanks has passed through it! But that's okay, we have the Moulin Rouge! What is Oderni ? 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

gulredrel Posted Friday at 08:13 PM Posted Friday at 08:13 PM Awesome update. Just did a flight around Dover. Dover Castle is really looking great. Great detail on the old gun batteries, buildings, towers and so on. also like the details in the harbour. 3
waterman Posted Friday at 10:53 PM Posted Friday at 10:53 PM (edited) Thanks for the New Tram Tracks in London i have found 3 The Bomb Damaged Buildings are also Great Tram Track Routes work the same as setting up a Train The very nice Red Tram works if Traffic is turned on - also i could not find it to place as a user Train. Also I did not see the Big USA Steam Locomotive as Traffic - and i could not find it to place as a user Train. If you build your own you could use either a 3d Model of an Electric Trolley Bus with Tyres or an Electric Tram on Rails to follow the Tram Track set up as DCS Trains. For now the closest thing i have to a London Electric Tram is one of My Woodhead Class 76 1500 Volt DC Electric Locomotives i built for MSTS 25 years ago before many of you were even born ! These Manchester - Sheffield 1500 Volt DC Locomotives were actually Tested in October 1950 between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield Lots of nice 3d Tram and Trolley Bus Models on the Internet that can be converted for DCS Edited Saturday at 06:02 AM by waterman 2
