Garfieldo
if laminating is not that much of a deal, i'll go with #3 and since this a poll with 3 preset options i don't think it makes sense to ask for options not already in the poll... or could i have mine printed upside down? just kidding, i think the map maker did a great job and it's very nice of ED to step in and try to distribute it! awesome work! and btw the original map thread is here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=50869 Edited March 23, 2010 by Garfieldo
Boulund
would also like to know what the size of the unfolded map will be in centimeters. I was thinking that this post should give you details enough. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=853809&postcount=57 Otherwise I believe that the 1:600k scaled ones would be at A0 size, 841 × 1189 mm (1m^2). ED Team JimMack Posted March 24, 2010 Author ED Team Share Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) #3 here to, though it would be nice to have guidelines whit it as well on how to laminate and fold it if you wanted to. You can buy self adhesive film from most craft shops: see for example- http://www.homecrafts.co.uk/products-Low-tack-Masking-Film_D725C.htm In this thread there have been some excellent ideas on how to fold maps so they are easy to use in a small space. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=50869 Here is how I do it. First fold the map with your preferred method. Then open map out again and lay flat. Lay on the self adhesive film. It does help to get someone to assist, holding edge of map etc. Check that your marker pen is water (or alcohol) soluable, so that your course marks etc are removable! Purchase a plotter(metric) such as http://sportys.com/PilotShop/product/9356 and you are good to go for preparing your flight plan, creating bullseyes etc. For those who want to prepare accurate courses as you have set wind in the simulation, purchase a cross wind calculator http://sportys.com/PilotShop/product/12644 Edited March 24, 2010 by JimMack more info Having problems?
