That was the multiplayer server - port 10308 is the DCS/FC2 port.

I'm sorry to report - it seems I'm not able to do it as such as it stands now.

I'm not able to override the "send_chat"-event that happens from within the game-engine, so I cannot intercept any other messages that the one's Servman creates.

Considering the possibility to use Servman on clients, not sure if it will provide the results we want - but it is quite likely it will.

It would of course require Servman via Modman.

hey guys, what about a mission that is more oriented into some flat areas?

 

right now it is allways the same, people hide in the mountains, all the time, and some how this is getting very boring.

 

have you thought of some fight at flat areas?

Huh, i've just flown in the 104th server just now, i don't see those units on the bases anymore :huh:

 

Probably because Polecat was running on his own server with an older version for testing. We are back now on the Dedicated and the updated mission is running.

Hi Fire,

Those picture are of static objects and not AI. We tested with and without these static objects and they made no difference to FPS.

 

Yes, a great number of AI will introduce stutter, but once you get to a certain number of AI, the stutter is introduced and there is not much you can do about it if you want to have proper airbase defence. The only way around it is to have a mission so small it might only support 12 people. It's a limit of the current engine unfortunately.

Those objects are static objects, and they are not generating any stutter at all. If u have stutter, on the 104th server, then u will have stutter from other reason's, but not from the static objects.

When I flew yesterday, someone had crashed on the aircraft parked next to the fire engine.

 

I started to wonder if they had been called out to attend the fire!

 

The airfields do look better with more activity.

I recommend if you want to make a performance/stutter test, Use the lua export functions

"BeforenNextFrame" and "AfterNextFrame" and log the modeltimes. Moa knows how to do this I'm sure :).

This way you can see exactly what adds stutter to a mission and when.

S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

Hijack, People purposely making a mess of a runway will be kicked/banned after a warning. Like Mustang said, as long as it's not a friend because 2 wrongs don't make a right, yada yada. Intentional team killing at any time is never allowed.

Remember, People can report players breaking the rules with a screenshot or track to a 104th admin at anytime after the infraction. FC2 includes player's IP and with the patch, GAME KEY CODES now. With FC1 this was not possible. Players that are banned will now stay banned, regardless if they change their IP, unless they buy a new FC2.

Plus with the excellent Servman on our server, a team killer will be auto kicked after 3 TKs then not allowed to rejoin for a few hours. If the same mission is running and they rejoin and they get another 3 TKs, boom! auto banned! Great stuff
