snowman123 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 What??? No slot machines at the refueling station? That sux. I could just see a slot machine with eleven little slots that decides your loadout... *pulls lever*..... Bing bing bing bing bing! Yes i got mavericks! :D Go ahead, Make it idiot proof, someone will just find better idiots...;)
RichardG Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Matt mentioned a mission planner that loaded his flight plan. Is this something different than the mission editor? Id really like to make my own flight plans pre-flight instead of relying on the one mission makers put in the editor. (like Falcon 4).
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Matt mentioned a mission planner that loaded his flight plan. Is this something different than the mission editor? Id really like to make my own flight plans pre-flight instead of relying on the one mission makers put in the editor. (like Falcon 4). There is a new Mission planner in FC2 and in the latest patched Black shark. Edit:- I do think ED could have made the Mission planner a lot more obvious, it is very easy to overlook and the way it's accessed is, IMHO, a flaw in the GUI design. It should be a central Big Red button on the Mission Briefing Screen IMHO. RichardG Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Your kidding! I have Blackshark, tell me how to get to the mission planner.
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) It really shines when the mission is made to suit the planner (like the FC2 missions) But it still has its uses in BS. It is really really handy in the Cold War Campaign in FC2. Nate Edited July 2, 2010 by Nate--IRL-- 1 Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Eddie Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 When you're at the mission briefing screen in the single player GUI, there is a button at the bottom centre of the screen called mission planner, just click it. It'll open the mission file in a cut down version of the editor allowing you to change loadouts and modify waypoint/target positions.
Coolhnd1 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 There seemed to some sort of graphical error at minute 4:30 to 4:33 just as he checks the Right Engine. You can clearly see that there are a few reflection lines hanging in the air. I supporse these are only to be shown when the Canopy is closed. In the video the Canopy is still open.... I noticed the exact same thing when I watched the video and wondered what it was. It never occured to me it actually might be a bug. :D -- CoolHand
pyates2104 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Yes, you need the APU on to start both engines (you cannot use one to start the other). Once both engines are running and powering the AC generators, you can then switch off the APU... unless you need to turn it back on later for an air-start. So theres no engine bleed air cross feed? Does that mean relight is ether using windmill or APU?
Eddie Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 So theres no engine bleed air cross feed? Does that mean relight is ether using windmill or APU? Yep. You can use engine bleed air to dry motor another engine but starts require the APU, or windmilling for an airstart. Grab yourself a copy if the A-10A flight manual, it show the mechanical systems and explains their operation. Mechanically the A and C models are the same.
