That rain is a nice effect, but its such a short loop. Either needs to be completely random, or a much much longer loop.

Will there be Mk 83 bombs available? The Translated russian thing on pg18 of this thread says there'll only be Mk82's and Mk84's...

The mk-83 is exclusive to the USN not the Air Force. At least it was so in the 90's but I haven't heard any diferent. the -82's and -84's are both adequate for their different target types.

Is this less complicated to fly than the KA-50?

 

Fixed-Wing by it's very nature is less complicated to fly than a Helo. If you are meaning less complicated to operate **properly**, ie as it should be, then yeah it's a damn side more complicated!

No, they are not used by the A-10C. I'm sure ED will release a full list of weapons and other features closer to release, the project is still very much a work in progress at the moment.

That video just reminded me of how awesome the nightime missions will be.:thumbup:

 

I hope that they (ED) do some kind of rain effect. It's pretty numb to have wipers in the kamov and when you are in rain you don't need it because there is actually no rain. Never saw a good representation of rain in videogames/simulations. Hope they do something, I think it was intended to integrate some rain effects on the black shark windshields.

Okay, 3 more questions for you guys:

1. Will firing the gun for a prolonged amount of time cause a stall?

2. Will all weapons be more accurately modeled and function more like in real life?

3. Will bombing play a part of the campaign, or does it matter about preference of weapons?

No, because every time trigger is pulled, engines ignition is activated.

I think maybe he means an aerodynamic stall, not an engine failure.

Also, for the physics to allow it, you'd have to be in level flight or climbing. There would really be no reason to fire the gun in either circumstance.

Alright, point taken. Anyway, you'd have no reason to be that close to stall speed while making a gun run.

The smoke from the gun would choke the engines, which would cause a compressor stall.

 

This was alleviated by firing the engine ignition constantly while the trigger is depressed.

Alpha I whole hardely disagree with #3.

 

Weapon selection is made based on threat level. if you can make a run with the cannon with minimal risk to taking ground fire then that is good. but if not then a longer range bomb toss or rocket/maverick attack would be called for. I mean it really is just common sense. Dont make a dangerous gunzo run just for the thrill. They would ground that guy/gal.

Now where is that speed brakes control again?

The question was for the DCS:WH sim, not for real life procedures, check the thread title :music_whistling: Even if it wasnt, there are other factors aswell that matters. (ROE, weather/visibility, proximity to friendlies, the nature of the target, monetary and logistic cost and availability etc..)
