Hein125 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Hi guys, A few days ago I pre-purchased DCS: A-10C Warthog but during the installation the following error occurs: 'Runtime Error (at 27:121): List index out of bounds'. I realy don't know what the problem is! I tried to download the files again but the same error is displayed. When I want to play one of the training missions, the game switches to multiplayer mode and gives the following error: 'Unhandled exception: Can't handle vertex bufferfor 41814 vertices. Node:'. Can someone please help me with this problem? Greeetzz

sam777777 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I'm not sure if you can answer this but i would be a very happy man if you could... what is the ETA on beta patch 4 and what optimizations are you going to be trying to implement by then. ATM I am (by sheer willpower) holding off A10 because i know i will just be dissapointed by the performance. <VAAF> Virtual Australian Air-Force :joystick::pilotfly:
26-J39 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hey Sam, I don't think you will get any advance warning of the Beta 4 but it "shouldn't" be too far away. :noexpression: ATM I am (by sheer willpower) holding off A10 because i know i will just be dissapointed by the performance. How do you know when you haven't tried? If your DL permits why not try now? :D
joker62 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) about white line from cockpit view ahem, not really a question about A-10C ... But, flying it, I've noticed absence of irritating white line from cockpit view already omnipresent in BS when on ground. This means that problem is defenitely solved also in BS? I'm still hoping ... antonio. Edited December 3, 2010 by joker62
randysmith Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Not sure? Ask here! Installed wart hog beta3 using torrent. looked pretty when installing but when I hit the "play" button I was inundated with round red circles and "X". I mean a whole list of the buggers. any suggestions on what I should do? solve each "X" or try to re-load the entire simulation. I was sooo looking forward to trying out one of my favorite war craft. ED Team Olgerd Posted December 5, 2010 ED Team Posted December 5, 2010 What causes the engines to shut down after a while (in couple minutes) of flying upside down? Something in fuel system? Specially for inverted flight there is a small negative-g tank. It is filled up while you are in upright flight, and is emptied during inverted flight. Once it is empty - engines will stop. sam777777 Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Olgerd, i thought it was an engine flame out due to turbulent air entering the engine, at least that was the conclusion in some other thread. <VAAF> Virtual Australian Air-Force :joystick::pilotfly:

I have tried all graphics combinations and come to the conclusion that the beta is unoptimized, which has repeatedly been stated by the team, BS runs fine therefore DCS a10 should run a hell of a lot better than it does at the moment. Better to play the game when it is awesome then be put off at the beginning, i will wait :) <VAAF> Virtual Australian Air-Force :joystick::pilotfly:

T-34 stopped by turbulence? We have flame out modeled, but in can happen only in heavy stall/spin. If it was a simple inverted flight (not inverted spin), then it definitely has stopped due to negative-g. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] К чему стадам дары свободы? Их должно резать или стричь. OK-Outlaw Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I have downloaded a couple missions, Tank Plinking, test3 and a couple of others, when I started to put them into the program I found I was at a complete loss as to how to do this. No instructions. I searched the Forums and didn't see where anyone else has asked this question, so the dummy I am I have to ask. What is the proceedure for loading the add on missions?:(

Then you can find these missions in the games mission menu. Actually you can browse any drives and folders whit the mission meni in game so it does not mater where the mission files are as long as you know where they are :D C/program files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS A-10C Beta/Missions... joker62 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 You know a simple clipping adjustment in the graphics.cfg fixes that problem. ;) Yes I known: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=611617&postcount=51 and I use it, but this will affect the entire graphics engine and is not a recommended solution. So I'm waiting for final solution from ED Team about it. Thanks. Best regards. antonio.
Avilator Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Olgerd, i thought it was an engine flame out due to turbulent air entering the engine, at least that was the conclusion in some other thread. T-34 stopped by turbulence? We have flame out modeled, but in can happen only in heavy stall/spin. Just a minor FYI, this is the reason there are slats on the A-10, because they smooth the air going into the engines at high AoA. Thus, as Olgerd said, they will only flame out if you really throw the plane around. I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" rddaos Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 New User Question I have just downloaded the program, and have downloaded the 663 page-long manual. But the manual doesnt seem to cover how to navigate the game menus, for example, it doesnt seem to cover how to set up your joystick. Is there a separate manual for that? Thanks...
