You need to change your aircraft heading/altitude a little bit to re-align the weapons guidance sensors. Then swing back in on target. The weapon should then be ready to launch.

Hi Guys,

have a question.

I found the visibility above in 2000ft or above much to clear.

It look not verry realistic to me to see the Mountains and other miles and miles away.

Can i anything do to decrease the visibility?

I change every thing in the option´s to Low and the Weather Tool to create Missions, but nothing help´s.

Can i change something in the cfg. file ?

Thanks,

Alex

Setting day, time and weather affects visibility. As an example try set the day to 185, season to autumn and time other than noun.

hello guys!im new to DCS.

just bought the P51 and the A10+Shark.

i love the details of this sim, and the A10 is nothing but stunning.

anyway, i just wanted to ask, whether there is a rudder trim for the A10...i found elevator trim, and aileron trim.

though aileron trim doesnt seem to do anything...

then there is a trim called left or right wing down, which actually seems to be the aileron trim, which is working.but i didnt find any rudder trim.so is there any?and what is the aileron trim for, if its not working???

thx in advance for your answers.

wingman GAU-8 moves??

I'm trying to setup wingman north of target, and I south so we can execute the run on one dance and target be mashed up north and south.

What range does wingman climb for a gun pass from target? what range does he engage from? speed of ingress?

2 gun runs, 1 target. Help!

I don't think you really need a rudder trim in the A-10. You have the Yaw Stability Augmentation System, which seems to keep the ball centered in most situations, apart from entering/exiting a turn. You won't really find yourself yawing in an undesired fashion unless something goes wrong.

ok whether i need it or not, im interested if one exists...in the manual it states, that there is one...

default rudder trim Rctrl+ Z or X. Just be mindful to not over trim and swerve in level flight...

What is the AI wingman procedure for a gun run? I want to shoot with him so he wont exhaust the cannon on one target.

Hi,

I'm new to A-10c, and was wondering if there is any way to access the options menu from in game. The reason i ask is that often i need to remap a control when i notice it not being efficient in game, or change the audio settings, but having to exit, and then wait through the ridiculous loading time is a bit of a chore. Is there any way to do this? Is that hard to implement?

There's no way to do this, the simulation and the main menu/editor interface are actually separate programs.

LOL...

One way to improve fps would be to not ripple 9(!) cans of CBU on 11 vehicles.

Technique only.

No doubt a fair point.

Try replacing those 9 CBU 97s with 2 CBU 87s (a reasonable amount :D) and the problem still exists. Something needs to be optimized (or flat out redone) with the explosion effects, they have been a real frame-rate killer with the last few builds

System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer

I thought only the CBU87 were laggy.

Something has to be optimized for sure, but admitt that he was pushing the limits with all those CBUs^^

why would anyone ripple 9 cans of 97's?? In OAF, they usually carried and rippled 2's, less than they pickled singles. I read the drag caused by CBU cans was compared to barn door drags, and one of the pilots experienced a hung store CBU. He was scared shitless that it would fall off as they tried to land at Gioia del Colle. Something with carbon build-up in the ejector charges.

Nowhere near!

Drag index from Eddie's post:

CBU-87/97/103/105 1.17

And the speedbrakes (a.k.a barn doors) have:

Speed brakes 20% 10.63

Speed brakes 40% 24.3

Speed brakes 80% 75.9
