Eddie Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 wonder why the outfit monochrome displays still? , think this day and age they would outfit daylight color HD monitors? in the cockpit. They are colour displays, it's the CCD sensor in the LITENING pod that is greyscale only.

Cornbread Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Oh, man. I work from home, so now I've got to figure out how to impose some self-discipline and not spend my entire day staring at this. Maybe nothing gets done at all.:helpsmilie: News about ground AI almost made me fall out of my chair. Want. To. Play. So. Bad. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
z33r0 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 new ground ai and jtac got me. now i am sure i'll buy this.
Chazz_BMF Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 OMG...this is just getting better and better. Now just need to start saving up for the new TM stick :) by the way is it possible for a player to take the role of the JTAC. Still remember some of the trainingg i got when i was a recon scout in the army :) Would be a joy to call an airstrike down on a target with the help from some online buddies. :pilotfly:Wolfpack Production:pilotfly: -=<[WiN 10, I7 3770K @ 4,5 Ghz, Corsair H100i, Sabertooth Z77, 16 GB Dominator, Sapphire 7970 VaporX 6GB, C70 Vengance, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro rudder, Track IR, Beyerdynamics MMX 300 ]>=- DCS/FC2/FC3/Arma videos on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/WolfpackproductionDK "Fortes Furtuna Juvat"

Speed Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I'm very excited about the Battlefield Commander mode. Now, we can have one person dedicated to controlling all the ground forces, calling in airstrikes, maybe even directing friendly AI aircraft-talk about about awesome! Furthermore, we can have an OPFOR Ground Force Commander! Now we can have intelligent acting ground and air forces on BOTH sides! Think about all the possibilities now! No more boring, static battlefields. Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility. diveplane Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 They are colour displays, it's the CCD sensor in the LITENING pod that is greyscale only. maybe a combo sensor unit would work even better daylight color mode , and the usual low visual and night attack suite built into it. makes sence to me. ......... sometimes great minds over see the simplistics . they need a nvidia g force card in the sensor hehe https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.

BTTW-DratsaB Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 They are colour displays, it's the CCD sensor in the LITENING pod that is greyscale only. So that means that non of the Pod pics are in FLIR mode? I was wondering about that because it does just look like b/w tv and not heat imaging. Will FLIR be fully modelled, for example like the new FLIR optics in Arma2 Operation Arrowhead? With realistic heating and cooling of objects? blaster454 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 This is impressive and more that I was expecting! I am especially pleased with the virtual JTAC and Battlefield Commander functions that will make this sim a great CAS platform. Add in the AI improvements and the Mission Editor additions and enhancements and I can see some very interesting and realistic online missions coming! power5 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Wow thanks for listening to our critiques on BS and the AI system and ME negatives. Will be very nice to see scurrying enemy when I light them up with my GAU. If I can. The ability to tell ground forces where they need to reposition is awesome as well. combatace Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I guess it will be released in November nine months from FC2, thats what DCS series is gonna be, new plane every nine months. To support my models please donate to paypal ID: hp.2084@gmail.com https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/hero2084?referral=hero2084
HiJack Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Will these changes to DCS be updated to Ka-50 as well? Like the impressive ground units upgrade. Improved Ground Force AI Given the A-10C's mission, ground forces artificial intelligence is critical. Important improvements include: •Water crossing vehicles will bypass destroyed bridges •Other units will re-route themselves if their route is blocked •If a moving ground group is engaged, the group will disperse and evade •Ground groups will now better use formations and employ new ones •Some groups will pop smoke if engaged (HJ)
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 New Updates to the DCS engine are supposed to apply to the DCS series so I'd think that's a big yes AFAIK! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
