VanjaB Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Moving to Mantle will Alienate the thousands of USers that Moved to nVidia because AMD Performance issues, that would not get a positive response. Why would that alienate anyone unless they decide to quit supporting the DirectX API? (which would be insane and stupid)
Gloom Demon Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) Personally I think, that the resources spent on integrating Mantle support, which would only make a portion of the users happy, would be better off spent elsewhere. Unless nVidia starts supporting Mantle in a years time, which I doubt, since Maxwell will have an integrated ARM to run the video driver which is essentially a hardware way to do the same thing Mantle does. Yeah, as much as I like Mantle, my next card is still going to be NVidia because of AMD issues. Kudo's to AMD for trying though. If they can solve all their other issues, they'll have a real winner.

Shaman Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Unigine Graphics engine is impressive. What on their webpage is claimed that it runs tens of thousands active objects. However I bet 99% of ED's consumer PC's won't be able to run it as it is showcased. This is engine for big commercial training sims as you may see in their portfolio not for an unlimited range of garage built PCs ;) 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer

TAW_Blaze Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Now I only want to know which power plant I need to purchase to run this. :D Amazing as hell.
Haukka81 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looks so natural, why o why we cant get this for our flight sims :joystick::joystick: Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
-Demon- Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I just downloaded the Demo and works like a charm... on my 6 year old computer...so no powerplant needed. Cheers, Demon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Founder of the -=VDS=- http://www.virtual-dragon-squadron.de:pilotfly:
TAW_Blaze Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 But that's a clean environment, wonder how it'd run with a crowded misson.
