$60 for an unfinished title!!!? not for me, sorry guys! regardless how good it is!

 

You're pre-purchasing the finished DCS: A-10C and getting access to the beta today (and it's your choice whether to play the beta or not). It's not that hard to understand. They're obviously not charging $60 for a chance to play the beta, there would be figurative riots in the streets by now if that were the case.

 

Plus I thought paying $60 for an unfinished title was quite common these days :lol:.

Hmmm, that‘s interesting. I downloaded from torrents and installed it, however it didn‘t have option to choose 32 bit install and I got only two icons on my desktop. When I start sim, that small blue light on TracIR doesn’t show up. I’m on Win XP 32 bit. Any thoughts?

 

 

I could be wrong but i remember seeing a tick box about loading 32 bit files on instalation.

You only get that option if you're installing on a 64-bit OS. Zalty's running a 32-bit OS so there's no reason/use for the 64-bit files, so it won't install them. As a side-effect, there's no point asking whether or not to install the 32-bit files...

cleary you misread what this is, its a pre paid purchase ,also gives you extra in participation of the beta code, and download access for testing each new build as they come , which imo is a great help, more people involved the better, testing across a wide range of pc systems.

 

end result will be a great polished simulator , with very little bugs.

If you're running a 32bit OS the 32 bit version of the sim will be installed by default as you obviously can't run the 64bit version. As for TIR, run a game update in the TIR software.

Well you are not paying for unfinished game... you are pre-purchasing the finished one and as an extra you get to try out the BETA versions as they keep finishing it... that is a good deal if you ask me

Beta Forum Access - Solution!

 

A squadmate told me that your email address must be the same on both the DCS (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com) and also the Forums site (http://forums.eagle.ru).

 

My UserID, and also Password were already the same on both sites, but my email addresses were different. So, I changed my profile on the Forums (http://forums.eagle.ru) to match the email address that I had on the DCS site and now I do have access to the Beta Forums.

 

After changing and confirming (by email link) my new email address, I then had to go back to that A10C Download page. There will now be a long button at the top telling you to click it to "request access to the beta forums". Once you do that, it becomes a link to the Beta forums that actually works. (I had this link before, but since my emails didn't match it said that I did have access, but obviously I did not. THIS IS A BUG!)

 

It is fixed!

Yes, you can even install it and use the mission editor, but you will not be able to fly until you purchase.
