I have to remind everyone that I don't guarantee neither a complete upload nor its 100% integrity. If it will unpack it will work fine. If not... It has most features in place, but you definitely will see bugs as well as instabilities. As reported above, I'm seeing lower frame rates that BS, but I haven't done too much tweaking, and the code has apparently not yet been optimized. My advice is, if you are uncomfortable or have never been through a beta, then hold onto your cash, download the manual, and start studying up.....there is a ton to learn! Final download detail, as from official links/unpacked from my multipart archive: setup.exe 1.7 MB setup-1.bin 1.8 GB setup-2.bin 1.8 GB setup-3.bin 587.2 MB Edit: I used 7-zip, but the format is simply ZIP, multipart. In multipart archive you have to select only first file - with *.zip file name (not *.zip.001). There are 3 of such files because 3 main game setup files have been packed separately. Files to be selected to extract: setup-1.zip setup-2.zip setup-3.zip Note: setup.exe is not packed. It's the original file. okmerflow Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Error when starting DCS A-10.exe Hi guys, I've downloaded it twice now and i'm receiving the following error's when i start the sim (the whole installation went ok, no error's there). "The program can't start because d3dx9_42.dll is missing from you computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" And "error loading module 'edTerrain' from file C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C BETA\bin\edTerrain.dll': The specified module could not be found. The last download was ok, the first one (Bit torrent) was missing some files. Strange enough the installation was ok, no errors. You don't need to download it first, but you do need to activate access to it via the download page. If the email address you signed up to the forums for matches the email address you used to register the account on digitalcombatsimulator.com to buy the beta, the download page will have a button you can use to enable access to the beta forum. If your email address on the forum is different, the download page will have a link to the forums saying to sign up to get access to the beta forum. nomdeplume Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 That message will appear if the email address for the account you're logged into on the DCS site does not match the email address of an account registered on these forums. You'll have to change one or the other so they match. You can change your forum email address through the User CP link, 'Edit your details'. Once your email address matches, it should become a button or link to enable access to the beta forum. Clicking on it will then give access to the beta forum for the forum account whose email addresses matches the email address you're logged into on the DCS site. Hopefully that's clear enough.
