fzfq3m Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Well, I actually have that when viewing a moving video. When there's something leaving the screen, I'd try to follow it by moving my head, then I check for the green TrackIR status LED and reach for the HOTAS button to toggle it on! That brings me back memories of an old bad habit... come on Mario... Hanzales Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 When you start listening music for not so long time, but you start Warthog meanwhile anyway just to play with stuffs in cockpit and learn more and more, trying to figure out some of that stuff by yourself too ;o) Next day you wake up and immediatelly look around to check if all systems are all right, then realise there are no switches or buttons in your bed. BTW each time I done some training and then do some spectacular manoeuvres for fun, like clean landing from impossible angle and speed, then turn around, take-off, do a cuban 8 directly to a clean land again (without track-ir).. I'm realy sad that Save Track function is missing during training missons :) When I archieve something special, it is only during training missions I am currently flying again and again. BrumTx Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 When you turn down all sounds on DCS A-10c, tune into BBC Sports radio and listen to the Test Match (England V Inda) while your second monitor has the live feed TV and you have just bombed the c**p out of Batumi and shouted out LBW by mistake. 1 Remember the 346 Fire Fighters, Medics & Police who died on 9-11....... ckeddf Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 I was driving behind a car yesterday which license plate read SP-OI and I thought "hey look, sensor point of interest". I know, it's actually SPI, but that was my first thought nevertheless. 1

raymondabel Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Always remember family is first!:) This mostly applies to the Wife; Back when.....yea back when Falcon came on 2, 3 1/2" floppy disks. I was linked up via a serial cable to a friend on the PC right next to me. This was the first time EVER in the virtual world where I could fly my F-16 and he his in the same game. !:pilotfly: I remember that that a LONG time ago...
Gerg Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Haha thats about the time i got F-16 Combat Pilot for Spectrum 128k on tape lol. My start to flight sims along with an Apache sim for 128k soon after.
Guest Izoul123 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) 1. When something at work like the laser printer/office computer breaks for the god damn 5th time this month, you wonder what it would be like to fire the GAU-8 with all HEI rounds at it/including the office/workplace (sans people) it's in....emptying to whole round capacity in one run even if it means damaging the cannon in the process. 2. When you are trying to park in the mall parking lot on Black Friday but can't as its gridlocked miles of parked cars, and you wish you could be above in the A10C with 8 CBU-97's (sans people) just to see what kinda fireworks display that would look like, followed by strafing runs with the GAU-8. (That would be best xmas present ever for me.) 3. When you drive by a water tower and wonder what it would look like if a GBU12 stuck it while driving by. 4. When you are on the highway about to go under an overpass and you wonder what it would be like if a GBU stuck it before/after you went under it. 5. When you look at the garage and consider how many rounds of HEI it would take to level it so you wouldn't have to reside/paint it. 6. When the god damn lawn mower won't start in the spring no matter how much you winter proofed it, the damage that even 1 round of AP or HEI would do it and how you'd have a giggle like a school girl as it was destroyed. 7. Whenever 'situation x' in front of you is stressing you out and you see yourself in an odd calm as you envision in your mind chutes of CBU-105 from a safe distance sailing down about to spin up solving the problem.
