For those of us who just like a flight simulator!

I know, I am probably the only one who does not fight in EDs simulations but use it as a wonderful flight simulator......anyway is it at all possible to have another flyable aircraft in the final release like the L-39 or the Su25?

I can't fly the Black Shark helecopter, its too hard and the A10 is nice but I will miss another aircraft to fly in the new ED direction of one aircraft per module and the timescales. I am getting old and impatient ;)

Anyway, it's just a waste of post space I am sure but I still had to ask.

When ED does a DCS module they spend months and months researching every minute detail of the aircraft they are modeling. Given that they are at beta 3 and at most 2 months away from release, I strongly doubt they're willing to put in the effort to "throw in" another aircraft. Plus, it wouldn't make sense ... "DCS: A-10C Warthog (also includes the Su-25!)"

My advice is to wipe away those tears and learn to fly the Black Shark :P

A flight sim fan that wouldn't accept the challenge of learning and conquering the KA-50? Sure the A-10 is fun to fly, but your not going to be able to set the hog down on a moving train like you can in DCS:BS.

Do yourself a favor and pickup a copy.

If you like to just fly then fly fsx with some add on planes. There are some really good ones out there (a2a simulations and pmdg)

DCS:Warthog is all about the A-10.

Cause that's tactically significant... :megalol:

I'd say the chance of that happening is less than 0 :)

Now; ED did promise, a long time ago, to make tools available for third parties to develop new aircraft. We're still waiting :)

If that's what you're looking for, DCS is probably the wrong flight simulator for you. The point of DCS is to have a single aircraft modeled in realistic detail to the point where you can learn to fly the real airplane by playing the simulator. If you're just looking to fly around different planes, X-Plane or FSX would probably be better.

Why don't you buy LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2 ? More than enough choice there.

Lock on, Flaming Cliffs 1 and 2 and even the DCS are not made for just flying around. I agree with those ones who already mentioned that "Games" like the Microsoft Flight Simulator Series are the better Choice for you.

On the oither Hand, why not leraning how to fly the Shark and/or the Hog....you wouldn´t regret it...promissed.

By the way, a Simulation is only as hard as the person in front of it, is willing to learn...

Sounds like a bet to me ;)

I do get where Mizzy is coming from, I too enjoy just flying around from time to time. But I dont think there's any chance of getting another flyable in Warthog.

Land the A-10 on a submarine, diving through the canals? :D

The black shark ain t waterproof, at least not totally submerged, it would probably go belly up, what a paradox....

And without wasting flares chaff, gas, and enjoying the view... for free want anything better ?:D

So we can say, we can at least land parts of the A-10 on a moving train...even if it won't be moving anymore after the...landing procedure :D

Designating a target with laser gives the term (partial) ILS-Landing a whole new meaning :D

I also found the Ka-50 hard to fly at first until I discovered that adjusting the Joystick sensativity and deadzone made it a whole lot easier to manage!

Hey Mizzy, great to see you posting on here again, seems like a long time :)

Why aren't you an ED Beta Tester anymore? you were doing some great stuff back in day.

Hello there Musty :)

I had no time to spare the team so I had to tell Matt to remove me as it was wasting EDs time having me as a passenger!

Well, for the other posts, I did say it was a waste of time asking but I could not help but to ask ;) I have FSX 2004, Falcon 4, SF, Flaming Cliff 1and 2 Lock on 1.02, Flanker 1.5 and Flanker 2, Black Shark, Janes USAF, Janes F18, IL2 (all of them) and WOE. Oh I also have EAW and EDs A10.

Eh hem...now then....all I do with them all is just fly around not because I can't work out how to fight (although the ED simulations are hard for me as with Falcon 4) it is against my beliefs to kill anyone either in reality or in cyber space. I just have a facination for aircraft and in particular military aircraft.

I have done mods or artwork for most simulations out there and incidently FSX doesn't come close to EDs flight simulation, nor does Falcon 4 so that is why I play EDs simulations when I get time, which is'nt much these days.

Greetings to you all.

Wow, you think you are actually killing someone in the game?

Its bad for the E-Karma.:clown:

Well i am the opoposite, i can t fly around just for flying around, i find it boring as hell after 15mn

I m no E-psyco... well maybe, but i don t have the drive Kill Kill kill on.

I just like a challenge, and i like to fly, so combat flight sims are the sweet spot.:pilotfly:

But i undestand the will to fly military without being a kill machine, skydance video is all about it, and very beautifull for that, military have much more "air liberty" than liners.

Each one his own, vive la diference.

Don't be an arse, it's the concept of fighting that I am against

I respect that. If I was so inclined, I'd still think flying around an empty mission with my A-10 would beat my current FSX experience.

Hey Mizzy, nice to see you here again!

Despite the fact that I like the adrenaline of weaponry, my favorite moments in all sims (my list is almost like yours) were always athmospheric moments of flight, surprises, scenery,etc...

FSX I didnt really like, but for great flying, I really recommend X-plane! Specially if you have a good Eyecandy set-up ( I am a strong advocate of Matrox TripleHead2Go) and with Tom Curtis Sceneries (Alaska, Rockies, etc), you get to fly a stupid simple Beaver in Northern Fjords of BC but it all looks SO realistic (and all the navigation aspects are real too!)

Anyhow, thanks again for your mods, and I hope you will do more skins and stuff in the future, you are the best!:)

In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust...

In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D
