I would use 7, but since my license is OEM and I intend to replace this computer almost in it's entirety (only keeping DVD reader and chassis) I've held up on the upgrade in anticipation of the new computer. So I guess my "fact" is not the same as my "intention/wish" in this case.

W7/64

 

Some niggly problems with UAC and administrator rights (not just W7) but once they're set, you're good as gold.

 

I'd go so far as to say that W7 > XP now for gaming. Well in today's day and age seeing as XP is no longer supported. But if you compare the two in their prime, I personally think W7 is easier to game with.

I7 4790K running at 4390 with a gigabyte board with 16 gigs of ram with an Asus gtx 660-ti and 2 tb of hard drive space on 2 wd hard drives. A X-65F Hotas with trackir4 and pro combat peddles. A kick butt home built machine unfortunately running a windows 7 OS.
