Scooternutz Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I think the 2nd display may not be set at the programmed resolution in the lua files. I believe 1.09 is setting the display at a lower resolution. This would explain why the coordinates are off. Although my HELIOS is working the displays are not being displayed at the correct resolution. I think it is a bug. Scooternutz Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I finally got the displays except the CSMP to work. It took me 5 hours to place them all. The coordinates are so screwed up I can't figure it out. They look nothing like 1.08. [sIGPIC]https://drive.google.com/file/d/16rUBmmJR7A3YGZVGPGskxG1XtvulGojJ/view?usp=sharing[/sIGPIC]
Barrakooda Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I used a previous posters idea of printscreen desktop with Helios running. Then use ms paint to find coordinates. While not totally accurate it provided a starting point. Still had to do some resizing/positioning.
PureEvil Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 (edited) I have a dual screen setup with a 1680X1050 mounted on top of a 1920X1080 touchscreen, i'm using "Captain Loz's" profile. The two MFD's worked right away with V1.09 so they just needed resizing and moving to the correct co-ordinates. same sort of setup here, except monitors are identified in a different order (i think) by the OS (same as those who has a touch screen as #1 screen in the profiler and needed to make a copy/paste profile for the helios from the original profiles). screen resolution: 3600x1080 here are all the files needed to run Loz's helios profile (switched monitors). all exported displays are removed from the cockpit (some are saying it's increasing fps... hope some1 who knows how the lua files work will check that all is done right on that part). all thanks goes to Gunnergolly for sharing his files (very good base to start with) with us and every1 else who figured out how things are working after the last patch. Ghost_unit13 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 The way I use the mfd's on a second monitor for my ipadpit I can confirm that they somehow locked the onscreen mfd's (configured with the monitor lua file) to the aspect ratio of the screen resolution. Using try and error coordinates for the mfd size solved it for me. An 300x300 mfd is now 220x300 to get it back as a 300x300 mfd on my display. Same for the location on then second monitor. To get it at 1921x0 I have to add something like 1750x0. www.Ipadpit.nl :pilotfly:

Wow. Great stuff. Actually were able to get my loz profile up and running with extremely little hassle by using that link. All instruments working, and mfd's plus clock etc. placed at correct places. Thanks for the link mate. PS: Had to manually edit MFCD_init.lua and put in the part mentioned in this post to get the mfd's up and running. Confusing but seems like not everyone has to do that. Worked for me at least. My system: Win 10, Amd Ryzen 3700@stock GTX1080 Ti, 34" Asus G-sync ultrawide monitor, Ipad Air, 32 gigs of 3600 ram, complete CH HOTAS setup, Oculus Rift CV1/Trackir5 and a Saitek Quadrant Been simming since the Commodore 64. My current setup has a 2560x2520 resolution which is nearly 1 ;).

PureEvil Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 have you had a look at how different yours and my monitor setups are? coordinates almost like completely different systems, also some of the size scales are very different. i think most of us will have to adjust exports individually to get it working right on each system. or it's just me managed to make it so ))) btw, from the looks of it, my placing coordinates and scale look pretty logical now, biggest problem was to get displays visible at all (changes in the _init scripts). Gunnergolly Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Most obvious differences in our monitor setup files is that your MFD's, Digi clock and RWR sizings are as they should be.....square.. In order to make my MFD exports fit my "square" MFD bezels within my Halios profile i had to make them 325X380 ???.... The RWR was an absolute nightmare to "scale up" correctly, i thought that i had it right at 222X222 until i was playing and i beamed a threat. I eventually settled at 194X222, this gave me the correct indication on my Halios RWR when compared against the "cockpit" RWR. Needless to say that i have made 3 back ups of these files and stored them in 3 different locations as it took me about 7 hours to get them to work and display in the correct locations on my screen. I think your right about most of us having to adjust our exports individually, by posting our files hopefully they'll give people a good head start... Regards... My rwr init file states, "RWR_Screen" In my monitor config it stated, "RWR." Once I changed it I saw it on the screen. blaster454 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Following with great enthusiasm and much applause! Can anyone post the x-y coordinates for each of the exported displays for Loz's 1920 x 1080 profile with the touch screen below the main screen? My monitor config is a 28-inch 1920 x 1200 with a 23-inch touch screen at 1920 x 1080 directly centered under the main display (physically and in Win7), so I know my dimensions are x=0...1920 and y=0...2280. I've been tweaking -- painfully  -- but it is taking a really long time. If anyone cares to share their results, I'll gladly buy the virtual beer! I do have all the init files fixed for 1.0.9 but the coordinates are a tad hard coming to these old eyes. Appreciate any assistance. The only thing after that is the radios. shu77 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 So to throw my 2 cents in to the thread, the only changes I needed to make were to update the init files for my CDU and RWR and everything came good. I think I picked up a couple pixels vertical drop in the RWR, and the CDU actually adopted a better Aspect ratio that filled my 3.5" screen more. MFD's had no noticable change in size or position.
