csper
Hi, We took a step for F-16C in Lock On world. We made cockpit model (%90) but cockpit's textures're at %30 and F-16C model is at %90(no skin but unwraped).. we researched to make a good cockpit but we couldnt solve some problems as HUD, MFD, TEWS...:( we breaked project since 7 months.. So if we can solve these problems or ED helps us, we will make F-16C.. F-16C 3D Model: Yeniçeri F-16C 3D Cockpit Model: 141st_Alper F-16C 3D Cockpit Textures: 141st_c@sper And special thanks to: 141st_Kaplan, 141st_Eko1 Some pictures of project ANKA::pilotfly: Edited May 16, 2011 by c@sper 5 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Bravo!!! But i don't think ED will help you.:(HUD and the other electronic stuff is the common problem of all modders. They are hard coded so you can't get in.. You have to find a way around.BTW the only "real" mod i've seen was F-18 made by Kegetys with a clickable cockpit..And I don't know how did he do it.. LawnDart
Great work and very nice looking cockpit model! Being an avid F-16 fan, here are some tips... Appears you're shooting for a Block 50, using the F110-GE-129 engine, thus there are some things that need attention: Most obvious the intake shape. The Block 50 is using the MCID intake (although it doesn't look like your model has the NSI intake either, so take a look at that... the shape just seems off. Try to find a good reference photo from head-on of a MCID intake. The profile view of this intake is slightly different too). A few other things that stand out are the speed brakes angle (fully open with gear up they deploy to 60 degrees max, gear down they go to 43 degrees max). Can't tell for sure if the gear doors are bulged. The VHF antenna on top of the dorsal fin looks a tad off, but I could be wrong. The anti-collision light on top of the vertical stabilizer appears to be missing its shroud. Air-scoop on the bottom of the left wing strake is missing or very small (underneath the gunport). The angle of the LEFs (leading edge flaps) is actually -2 degrees when fully up, meaning they won't be aligned with the fuselage and wing strake extension even when flush. In the real Viper these obviously flex up and down to dig into the air allowing the pilot to max perform the plane, but in the most upright position they are actually -2 degrees and pointing upward in relation to the strake. Great work... keep it up! It's kinda hard to tell from only a few shots (and angles), but those are things that stood out to me at a first glance. Good luck! :smilewink: Edited May 16, 2011 by LawnDart [sigpic]http://www.virtualthunderbirds.com/Signatures/sig_LD.jpg[/sigpic] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Corsair 750D Case | Corsair RM850i PSU | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X CODE | 32GB Corsair DDR4 3200 | Intel i7-8086K | Corsair Hydro H100i v2 Cooler | EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW | Oculus Rift | X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty | Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB NVMe | Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB | WD Caviar Black 2 x 1TB | TM HOTAS Warthog | TM Pendular Rudder | TM MFD Cougar Pack | 40" LG 1080p LED | Win10 |

Moa
What is your particular problem? How to get a live HUD working and get the cockpit in the game? I would suggest the use of DirectX overlays rendering over the LockOn image. This is the same technique FRAPS uses for its overlays. I'm prepared to have a tinker next week as I've been dying for an F-16 for ages. Essentially you render the F-16 in an external program and then 'paste' the image into LockOn using an overlay. The external program uses the LUA export mechanism for communication with Lockon. In this way any cockpit can be injected into LockOn. Clickability would be tricky but should be possible. Michelange
I suggest you to release your MOD in 2 separate parts. The Firts : Only the 3D plane to replace the IA and template. - This could be a first step and help te communauty to create new skins for other countries. - It is the easies part to finish. The second : 3D Cockpit and flyable MOD. EVAC : French fighter school on LockOn: Flaming Cliffs Moding tutorials at C6
mvsgas
Ok, I love this. Some question: What block? From what country? What year? are you guys aiming for. This things all matter in term of what avionics and systems you are trying to modeled, the look of the F-16 and so on. F-16C covers a lot of very different aircraft. (block 25 to 52+ and every country will have different capabilities and most will have different equipment, etc) To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true.. Good luck! :smilewink: 1 Some block 30 and above use this intake as well, not just blk 50 ( related to GE engine) 2 The speed brakes will open at 60 with LG down. With LG down and no weight on wheels (WOW) on the nose landing gear (NLG) they should only open to 43 degrees but the pilot can hold the switch to open and the speed brakes will open (seen many damaged speed brakes) 3 This depends on the block (40 and above should have bulges) You are correct that the models main landing gear (MLG) doors do not appear to have a bulge. 4 The antenna should be a bit bigger. 5 Again, this depends on the block and year. 6 Look and pic one, not sure but looks like it is there. 7 This is only with WOW, on the air they are flush Just my two cents Edited May 17, 2011 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.
