HiJack Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Timing an ejection so you land on the strip is mission 2. :D Great! Is there a fountain show every night?
Jona33 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Great! Is there a fountain show every night? Yeah it fires mini tanks out with the water. Mission 3 is landing in front of it and gunning them. :D Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
sobek Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Flying Grand Canyon with shadows on full is the first mission! :D Erm, the Grand Canyon is in Arizona, isn't it? :) Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
HiJack Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Erm, the Grand Canyon is in Arizona, isn't it? :) Shit, well I hope we find some great mountain formations and not just flat desert ;)
Tailgate Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 You can enter the Canyon from Lake Mead, just outside Las Vegas. It would be nice to have it partially rendered.
HiJack Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Yes, or we can just watch the shadow of Jona33's parashoot falling to the strip :smartass:
Jona33 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 How does it compare to Outerra? Probably better at running a complex sim. (Just a guess though I don't know much about Outerra.) Graphically you'd have to compare them. Anyone got nevada screenshots from Outerra? Yes, or we can just watch the shadow of Jona33's parashoot falling to the strip :smartass: Watching mission 3 will be more interesting I think. :D Or the rest of the plane I ejected from. The ultimate in casino security, a shilka on the roof. :D Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Eddie Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Erm, the Grand Canyon is in Arizona, isn't it? :) 20~30 min chopper ride from Vegas to the west end of the canyon and lake mead. A lot closer than you might think.
GGTharos Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 You tell me after you get to try it out :) They're different engines, and they use different techniques AFAIK. How does it compare to Outerra? Ninefingers Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Here's an interesting thread where are a discuss about comparison with Outerra http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75319&page=17 I like lights of Outerra. Anyway Ed's Nellis looks really nice. It would be very interesting to see an advance of EDGE performance and know the minimum requirements of machine. Lucky Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 You can walk from Las Vegas to Arizona... :P Yes you can. It's about 20 miles. The Hoover dam sits on the border. One half in Nevada and the other half in Arizona. I used to live in Henderson, NV. About 12 miles from the dam. The Grand Canyon is entirely in Arizona. Shaderhacker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 When is this MAP going to be released for DCS:A-10? I'm dying to try it out.
