Chazz_BMF Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm not in front of the PC right now, so bear with me... Look in the main directory of your BETA 2 install for a folder called "theaters of war" There should be a subfolder inside called "Nevada" A simple copy paste job of the nevada folder into the theaters of war folder in whatever version you're running and should do it. ...remember, to load up Nevada you have to open the mission editor and create a new mission. That's when you get the option to chose your theater. Works wonderfully in DCS world atm Wohoo just found out i still have all the betas  :pilotfly:Wolfpack Production:pilotfly: -=<[WiN 10, I7 3770K @ 4,5 Ghz, Corsair H100i, Sabertooth Z77, 16 GB Dominator, Sapphire 7970 VaporX 6GB, C70 Vengance, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro rudder, Track IR, Beyerdynamics MMX 300 ]>=- DCS/FC2/FC3/Arma videos on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/WolfpackproductionDK "Fortes Furtuna Juvat"
SilentEagle Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I know that what I am talking about! I was preorder/beta tester but I just killed all my old backups...maybe someone hasn't. ..oh I hear you it would not be legal to let people have it that were not in the beta. That's why I keep every beta install! :)
Alicatt Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Woot! It works! Beta2 Nevada was still there in my install :D Thanks SmokeyTheLung Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron
Weltensegler Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 That's why I keep every beta install! :) Well yeah I did too but since now DCS world is going into beta I thought its time to let go and make some space on the drives :) 4790K@4,6Ghz | EVGA Z97 Classified | 32GB @ 2400Mhz | Titan X hydro copper| SSD 850 PRO ____________________________________ Moments in DCS: --> https://www.youtube.com/user/weltensegLA --> WELD's cockpit: --> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92274

BRooDJeRo Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I think they will create new battle theatres ofplace you can find all over the world. Hence the name 'DCS World'. The Nevada map is awesome, however it will more be a battlescenario testzone than a more realistic hotzone of conflict. I think the last real conflict was with the indians and the north/south wars if im correct. I can already see the majority of 'Las Vegas invasions' or erea 51 secret stuff that might not exist ingame. Dont get me wrong, i love DCS and what theyre planning to do, but also DCS knows that there will be reality limitations and need more 'real' conflict zones. Basicly i cant wait untill the monent they tell us what they realy have in mind in the long run or what can become of DCS World with 3rd party maps. Right now there is a couple of aircraft anounched officialy. Im kind of a held back person so i need to see first what becomes of it. Perhaps were a long way from a planet sized theatre, but wouldnt that be THA BOMB!
Blaze Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I think they will create new battle theatres ofplace you can find all over the world. Hence the name 'DCS World'. Incorrect, DCS: "World" means "the world of DCS", not that DCS is going to have the whole world in it. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. BRooDJeRo Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Incorrect, DCS: "World" means "the world of DCS", not that DCS is going to have the whole world in it. Then its put down correct, it doesnt say the whole world. It only mentions it that it would be very very very nice. :book:
slowhand Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Hey Chazz, you may want to ck but if you have all the old beta's you may have some form of CA in there as well. Mohamengina Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I hope the fact that it uses DX 11 and uses multicore means that we can get acceptable frames in 3d vision now.
Nate--IRL-- Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I hope the fact that it uses DX 11 and uses multicore means that we can get acceptable frames in 3d vision now. Mohamengina Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Small correction, nobody has said it uses Mulitcore. Nate Sorry my question was: What kind of performance improvement can we see from EDGE specifically from the older engine?

Nate--IRL-- Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 What kind of performance improvement is possible theoretically based on what we do know? That's kinda impossible to answer. digitaljjd Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 What, exactly, do we know (aside from the fact that it looks nice in pictures)? Hummm. We know we have been waiting almost two years. It's paradise on DCS World. It's a magical mythical place like Shangri-La. Some of us may not live long enough to see it, but the lucky few will someday fly free within it's boarders. Kidding aside, they do have a lot on their plate now. My guess is they needed to hold off on Nevada to make sure they could better integrate it into future ED product releases. Good things are coming!
Cedaway Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Hi ED, any news about Nevada and more particularly ED Graphic Engine? Not a release date (I know that's 'two more weeks but all is subject to change' ;) ) but about perf (even provisional), about tech (Dx11?, Tessellation?, multithread?,...).
