Jerry Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Release notes say: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=82956 But I doubt if the "Ati Flashing White Boxes" have been fixed? Should I install the latest drivers for my 6950? Nope still not fixed :(

Mule Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Just had a quick flight and the fps is a lot better now. I have an old machine and noticed the jump in performance. Good stuff! :) Fighter Pilot Podcast.
FreeFall Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Updated to 1.1.1.1. Now my Helios won't work at all! Absolutely nothing happens on my Helios screens when I start the sim. The gauges are dead. I see almost all the exported (CDU, clock etc.) stuff, but no RWR. Any suggestions? EDIT: Fixed! I just opened the Helios Profile Editor, Added the interface and refreshed the A-10C Setup Install Path. Then I opened my Helios Profile and saved it. Now it seems to work. Must check the RWR thing though. It won't work. Edited December 16, 2011 by FreeFall
Fuzzysham Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Arghhh. I wish I could check out this patch. I haven't played in 16 days now. I had to send back my Warthog base to Canada (from Virginia) for repair and they haven't received it yet and it was sent on December 1st. I'm on the verge of buying a whole new Warthog. Having an extra throttle would just be stupid though. A friend has a CH Fighterstick Pro I could borrow but it feels weird and the centering of it is very quirky and jittery. I have been waiting all year for the holiday to come around so I could spend countless hours playing this and I end up without a stick. A new patch coming out right before the holiday is making me nuts. I'm off from work starting next week till January 2nd. I could be playing the game the whole time. This is compounded by the fact that I think I may be getting a touch screen monitor for Helios for Christmas. Hint, sharing your Amazon wishlist is useful :) I may not be able to play the game but I downloaded the torrent on to my seedbox. As with the previous patch, I will permanently seed it (202Mbps upload speed). Happy holidays.

FreeFall Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 same happend here you have to get the interface for Dcs A-10 to reinstall in the root folder Thanks! I figured that out myself a few minutes ago. So it's fixed. Only the RWR export is missing at the moment.
Gadroc Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 RWR export is done not in Helios. If your using Loz profile you'll have to re-do the lua files he included, assuming they still work. The new install / patch would overwrite those lua files.
Caspet Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Just had a quick flight and the fps is a lot better now. I have an old machine and noticed the jump in performance. Mule Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Patch or full install Mule? Just the patch. I seem to be pretty lucky with the "just the patch stuff" i have done 1 or 2 where the frame rates go pear shaped but mostly ok. This is one of the ok ones for me. Fighter Pilot Podcast.

I seem to be pretty lucky with the "just the patch stuff" i have done 1 or 2 where the frame rates go pear shaped but mostly ok. This is one of the ok ones for me. Cheers Mule. Done the same and noticed a difference, just wondered if a full install would give me a bit more umph! Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The new install / patch would overwrite those lua files. Thanks! I replaced the AN_ALR69V_init.lua -file of the patched install with a backup copy of my previously working AN_ALR69V_init.lua. Seems to work nicely!
Charlie_01 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 In the options select Save profile. With 1.1.1.1 in Options select Load profile. Pretty easy. I'm not sure it's so easy  ... Look at this thead: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=82982
Aries Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Woooah... this baby runs much smoother... it feels really fine with this patch... And the best thing of all is it didn't touch any of my mods (Flare mod, HUD zoom for strafing mod, clickable radio mod)... I only had to re-add my two modifier keys on a X-45... 80% of the HOTAS bindings were also untouched... just a few buttons to set up... even my pilot log was preserved... Tested a little dogfight with few players over some lake with little AAA & SAMs... Now to the big MP mission test with my squadron... And yeah, RWR works like a charm... and the nice cockpit reflections are back (add crazing for once ED, please...)... Well done ED!!! Seems like this one will iron out all the despair of 1.1.10 :D ADDENDUM: Just flew OP Gridiron with my fellow wingmen... not a sigle glitch... everything went smooth... (if we ignore the fact that we all got shredded to pieces by the enemy, sooner or later... hi hi). FreeFall Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Woooah... this baby runs much smoother... it feels really fine with this patch... TGP picture seems to be much smoother now. Not that jerky any more. Or what do you think?

AJ.eightFive Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Running much smoother for me as well. Framerates look pretty similar but the "jerkiness" or "judder" I was seeing on my far left and right monitors is much less apparent. I'm puzzled by it, but happy. :)
Inseckt Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I still have an issue with the APU sound, it "popples" or "cracks" each time it loops, but besides that, this patch is awsome! I been waiting in 1.1.0.9 for this patch, so I just got the goodies from TWO patches in ONE go!!! Happy time! The TGP and MAV are simply stunning now compared to 1.1.0.9, and lots of other details just keeps amazing me. Conclusion of first impression: since the glitch in APU sound and menu music is such a small thing, and since it have tons of stuff to make up for it, its an A for me. Whoho! Good job ED!
