Nobody96 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I really don't understand the problem. The BS2 patch is announced for this week, meaning today or tomorrow, since I believe/hope even ED doesn't work on Sundays. I recon the reason for this very little time difference is either, that a simultaneous release would have killed their servers or that the A-10 patch was indeed finished earlier and they didn't wanted us to wait for it needlessly. so long Mathias My System: Intel Core i7-4770K, Asus ROG Strix RX480 O8G, 24GB Ram
Jona33 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 i agree with Bad. chromium Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 People, just imagine for 10 seconds to be one of ED team, that after weeks of work read some of those posts about people complaining that the two patches aren't released at the same minute or about changelogs, or else... than write (maybe). Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
Mustang Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) I've noticed that a few are already flying DCS BS2 in 1.1.1.1 servers, this is one example i saw yesterday of an IC bypass (the persons name is blanked intentionally) Edited December 16, 2011 by Mustang

Nate--IRL-- Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I was able to join 1.1.1.0 servers no problem with 1.1.1.1 test candidates a few weeks ago. They will work together, but I can't promise it will be bug free. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
HiJack Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Well I don't care but I guess someone at ED's would like to know how the patch is out for the Ka-50. Can't find it on the download page yet.

I'm a defender of the game, not a complainer. When BS2 was released I paid the full $40 and I was the strongest supporter of this pricing model - there were lots of complaints on simhq and I shot them down as much as I could. One of the biggest complaints was about not having DCS aircraft all in the same game as addon aircraft. I'm fine with this and the complexity is understandable. But I'm just saying that it makes sense to keep all games compatible if they are to remain separate titles. Totally works around the above issue. 1 week is not a big deal, I'm just hoping it doesn't happen more than that with 3 or 4 titles in the future Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods
