hawk66 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Yup its still on the roadmap, its behind Typhoon and one other project first tho so don't expect much from us on this until well into 2016 Pman Thanks for the confirmation...yup, take your time and make it right :) What I personal would love to see and what would be a unique feature is a real pilot/copilot AI system...e.g. that the copilot is fully simulated and not abstracted like for instance in F14 Fleet Defender of Microprose...
westr Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 One of my favourites as well, best dynamic campaign of any sim. Yep would love to have that dynamic campaign and mission editor integrated into DCS world. RYZEN 7 3700X Running at 4.35 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 32gb DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz Oculus CV1 NvME 970 EVO TM Warthog Stick & Throttle plus 11" extension. VKB T-Rudder MKIV
Rogue Trooper Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 The Dynamic campaign.... especially if it was built like digital Integrations simulation would make DCS untouchable! The recommended targets and free target choice was just the mutts nuts in Tornado and all flight plans had to be planned by the pilot.... truly superb! HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.
Pman Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Dynamic campaigns is out of our sphere of control sadly. Pman
westr Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015  Nice video. I love the Typhoon such a pretty aircraft. But there is just something about the Tornado, it's just so %$%#€!! cool! I shall really miss her when she goes :) RYZEN 7 3700X Running at 4.35 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 32gb DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz Oculus CV1 NvME 970 EVO TM Warthog Stick & Throttle plus 11" extension. Ells228 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Yeah Tonka is just a "brute" I think is the right word for it. There were some on the ramp of 29sqn when Pete and I were at Connie. Still looks awesome even from afar.
joey45 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Not in that dull grey colour... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. westr Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 As an 11 yr old in 1991 I remember first seeing Pink Tornados and I was Blown away. My love affair with the Tornado started then. A real war horse... RYZEN 7 3700X Running at 4.35 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 32gb DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz Oculus CV1 NvME 970 EVO TM Warthog Stick & Throttle plus 11" extension. VKB T-Rudder MKIV

Still looks awesome even from afar. I'd not call the tonka a brute its just not overpowered enough..... but there IS something about it. When I was about 8 I made a paper model of one with working swing wings. It'll always be special to me
Flagrum Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I am always stunned by the dimensions of the vertical stabilizer. Quite out of proportion ... but then, somehow ... not really.
Alicatt Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I'm quite partial to them in any colour... Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron
joey45 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Anything but grey.... That's it.. I'm painting it in 50 shades of grey... =Mac= Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Tornados are ugly, blunt nosed, heavy looking flying bricks with verticle stabs that are two sized too big for them. But watching them blur through the Mach Loop just stuns me. The Tornado is so... killer looking! You KNOW it's there! I would imagine it won't be in DCS flyable shape for years, but I would pay my bottom dollar to put one in my hangar! Heck, I just went into debt to get the Hawk. I'd go twice as deep into debt to get a Tornado! The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
Looney Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 That's quite a payload these blokes have there. IIRC those are ALARMs, Air Launched Anti Radiation Missiles. The UK HARM version so to say. I used those extensively in Digital Integration Tornado in SEAD missions. The loiter capability was fun to use and watch... emg Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Significantly expanded capabilities (and pricetag) compared to the HARM, though.
