Now that the game is available in Origin, I went there to check it out, but I couldnt find it. Yes, you can do a search for "A10" and youll find it, but no one is going to stumble upon this game in that program. Its not in the new releases and you cant even access the Simulation Genre!

Now on the website you can, but its very hidden inside. Either do a specific search or scroll down to the bottom of the page, click Simulation, 4th page and its there, so... are you getting your moneys worth with this?

Origin promotes their big names quite well but makes everything else hard to find. I hope it brings them some revenue. It's nice to have somewhere else to buy in my own currency but I've ended up buying everything except BS1 and Lock On Gold directly from ED anyway.

Those two I bought in retail stores with walls and shelves and everything like in the old days.

here it is... you just have to roll down the homepage and choose the small-lettered genre "Simulation" and then just roll to fourth page of products, et voila there it is, right in your face... lol

not to mention that in the Origin software (not web) there even is no "Simulation" genre in the first place to choose from and a search for "A-10" keyword gives this:

No results were found for: a-10

Please try searching for another key word.

so, well done on your sales struggle ED... good job...

So you would rather have it seen removed completely from a possible sales outlet as opposed to it being available to potential customers, but hard to find?

Honestly, how about being constructive rather than wanting to put the hammer down? Let Origin know of the shortcoming, sort of like catching more flies with honey as opposed to battery acid and all that.....?

OTOH, since a lot of search software can't handle the "-", if you simply type "A10" into their search box, DCS: A-10C Warthog is the immediate and only link that pops up. Took about 2 seconds to find. Be nice if they used a better search function, though, since obviously a lot of people don't realize that.

I would like to say it here instead of making my own thread. I woke up to an email from ED forums Official Updates. I didn't bother to read the email. Instead, I had a rush of joy as I quickly went to the ED website, thinking that FC3 was out, Nevada has an important update, DCS world has a patch, or that DCS next was going to be published! Instead its Origin now has A10. What a crappy start to my day.

I put it here, so the one whose mission is to "Let Origin know of the shortcoming" can see and know his mission is a go...

Yeah, that's called 'Passing the Buck'. There's a lot to be said for multiple voices-usually gets the job done much faster ;)

Then again and as stated, refine your search technique and the problem disappears. Go figure!

My point is that if your looking for the game, youll find it, but if your just browsing games in Origin (not the website) you will NOT stumble upon this game, thus loosing a lot of potential sales. IMO, ED should let EA know of this so they fix it.

It is a taste of things to come

"The art of simulation design is about understanding limited fidelity...

...compromises must be made. Designers have to consider cost vs. fidelity and processor time vs. fidelity. Additional trade-offs must be made between graphics, AI, flight models, number of units and more...

...never ask the pilot what he wants to learn because he too will end up building an airplane. Instead, ask the pilot what he needs to learn."

Why do we even care where ED sell their sims? I have my copy ad that's all I care about. Just sayin'.

It isn't so much that anyone really cares, it's just something new to moan about until FC3 comes out. :P

I effin hate Origin and anything to do with it. All the people that bought this sim because of my youtube vids were directed to the ED website, and il continue to do so for the future.

I guess there are just a few key words missing for Origin search of the product, a10 works, but a-10 yields no results, that sort of thing. No biggy. Except that it's ORIGIN!!! lol :)

We all know how Origin is terrible when compared to Steam, but more choices for customers equals more sales for them.

I just hope they won't go Origin exclusive and release their games on Steam as well . . .

Now that WOULD be bad indeed. I prefer to use the direct ftp links or torrent.

And i don't like ANY kind of software that i need to be able to use ANY kind of other software.

(cause that's what steam and origin are, software to let you use other software, WTF........)

Because of my past experiences with EA/Origin I will try my hardest NOT to support them, they are a bunch of ********.

ED keep producing products and I will always buy direct. Good for me and good for ED.
