159th_Viper Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 No bother :) That is the purpose of the Open-Beta. They would have been caught, but it would have taken a wee bitty longer with nobody else having access to the SIM in the interim. This way everybody wins. Just make sure that the other issues you are referring to has been noted in the Bug list. If not, it will not be prioritized. I've said it before, now is the time to speak up regarding bugs. combatace Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Hey Viper, I posted a track where I was getting gear down warning while in dog fight. Is that not a bug as I don't see it added to the list? To support my models please donate to paypal ID: hp.2084@gmail.com https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/hero2084?referral=hero2084
159th_Viper Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Hey Viper, I posted a track where I was getting gear down warning while in dog fight. Is that not a bug as I don't see it added to the list? Not making the list means that I have been unable to replicate the issue in the latest builds and has accordingly in all probability already been fixed. 59th_LeFty Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Viper, I don't think it's a bug. I think it's an useful (and probably realistic) feature, already implemented (and IIRC it's been there since LO 1.0 or 1.1 at least). What is not implemented (= what I said was feature request) is the ability for the player to force the radar (emitter) Off. I.e. to ensure his level of stealth. Now, we haven't that ability for now. How do we stay stealth? Simple: Learn how/why the EOS will loose the target, and thus the system will switch the radar emitter on to keep tracking that target. If you don't want radar, then unlock the target => the radar will stay off (you loose the lock, that's OK because the EOS was no more capable of keeping it). I prefer to retain the already implemented auto-switch radar/EOS, which is very useful in a lot of engagements. I feel learning to use the target aspect and/or position relative to my plane is enough to ensure no auto-switch if I don't want it. Frostie, I agree that it's not really off. See it as a standby mode, with authorization to go live ;) I agree too that a "real" off mode (or, more exactly, a standby mode, without authorization to go live) would be nice, but that's a feature request, not a bug. :) ++ Az' Well spoke. Not a bug, true. Feature request. So we keep on dreaming :) [sIGPIC]http://www.forum.lockon.ru/signaturepics/sigpic5279_1.gif[/sIGPIC] I could shot down a Kitchen :smartass:
GGTharos Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I would imagine that this sort of request is a DCS level thing. To give you an idea, for example we don't have a target step button in the F-15. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
GriffonBR Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Hi guys. One thing that I noticed on the A-10A is that the GAU-8 Avenger are not spinning when fired. I remember that the DCS World AI version of the A-10A has this kind of animation. That´s the only thing that I noticed for now. Azrayen Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I would imagine that this sort of request is a DCS level thing. Agreed. One thing that I noticed on the A-10A is that the GAU-8 Avenger are not spinning when fired. I think it's a limitation of an old slot/model : no argument available to do that on FC planes. Su-27 night pics. You can see the opaque green plate in front of HUD. Urgh!! Same as #26 - SU33 Green HUD block at night effect but for the Su-27. Only logical cause the cockpits of both are partly shared (technically). Now I think it would be a good idea to check all FC3 flyable aircrafts for that bug. If you do that, please report.
JEFX Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Hi Viper There is a graphic bug that I have been talking about in other posts but I might as well take the chance here (as you said:-): in F-15 (FC3) there is a strange graphic glitch (white squares, black squares and some people yellow squares). the behavior starts only at a given altitude (when you dive back down it stops0 but the given altitude is not the same everytime... I have experienced it above ANGELS 26 or above ANGELS 6 ... here is a pic It doesnt do it when HDR is turned off. Somebody said somewhere that it might be a DCS bug rather than a FC3 bug but it started only with FC3. thanks (it is very annoying because HDR adds so much to the general up to date of the looks and immersion). 159th_Viper Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 ........thanks (it is very annoying because HDR adds so much to the general up to date of the looks and immersion). JEFX Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks Viper Following your answer, I just made a quick series of tests and my conclusion is that it happens only when HDR AND FOG are present. See track below. I tried all combinations of FOG, Overcast and HDR and all other combinations seem not to do that. thanks graphic glitch HDR on-FOG on-NO clouds FL350.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust... IvanK Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 ILS LOCALISER DEVIATION INDICATION 113 - F-15 Localizer Deviation Bar exhibits incorrect behaviour in banking maneuvers This is also happening in the MIG29/SU27/SU33 to both the ADI Localiser indicator and the HUD Steering Director in LNDG mode. I accept that the steering director in the HUD is not a deviation value (The small circle is) but a Flight Director command so will be influenced by bank but not in the way it is at present. It seems to directly reflect the movement of the ADI localiser needle. Again its easy with a simple wing rock to bounce the ADI localiser needle off the stops. As in the case of the F15 the ADI localiser needle should only reflect Localiser deviation it should be unaffected by Bank angle transients. Same with the HUD director circle.... though by its Flight Director nature it should smoothly provide a steering command to regain localiser. HSI Localiser needle works correctly.
Azrayen Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 @ JEFX & Viper: This bug is already known and reported. As it's not FC3 flyable aircraft related, the full description is here. Indeed, HDR & Fod + given altitude (may vary).

speckfire Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) I personally found recently today during a gunzo fight that the 30mm on the Mig-29 or the SU-27/33 was kind of weak. Also the 20mm on the Eagle was weak. Have the values been toned down? Feels like a strong 50Cal instead of a 20 or 30mm cannon Is this a new feature or an unreported bug? I'm comparing it to FC2. Also it could be the guns are the same but the planes are tougher :) Edited November 22, 2012 by speckfire Speed is life !!!
aap_flanker Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I found that you can make 3 points landing with all the aircrafts, yes ALL (su-27/33,mig-29a/g/s,f-15c,a-10a)... but there's a problem with it, the touch smoke only draws when the 2nd main wheel make contact with the ground... this has negative impact in realism of the sim... just watch the attached files. HungaroJET Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 List Updated: Missed anything? Shout. Yep, very old bug: a model bug...present bounding box/user box of AIM-7 model is not identical/match with AIM-120 user box...therefore the misalignment bug (sliding on X-axis) with F-15C underfuselage pylons ( pylon: 4 & 5, 7 & 8 )...more conspicuous if we put mixed missiles AIM-7 and 120 on the same side. Best solution should be a new/detailed AIM-7M model, however if E.D. has no other future plans with updated AIM-7 model, then i can send/release a corrected old/present AIM-7 model...
