SweetFX for DCS ??

I just installed the SweetFX mod using ron533's JSGME download. When its enabled there is a vertical split mid screen - looks like different settings are being applied to the left and right sides??

That is one of the settings in SweetFX (split screen, showing with and without SweetFX enhancements). You need to edit your settings file and turn it off. It should be the last item in the list near the top of the file.

Edit SweetFX_Settings.txt and set

 

#define USE_SPLITSCREEN 0 //[0 or 1] Splitscreen : Enables the before-and-after splitscreen comparison mode.

Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone please provide a step by step instruction on installing? Keep in mind I have a Nvidia card with Win7 64. Thank you so much!!!! I have attemped to simply place the SweetFX file in my bin folder, then when I press scroll I see no differences. my log read this:

I have a 580gtx and run win7 x64. All I had to do was DL this http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/585372/?sphrase_id=505213 and drug these files to my bin folder: See below

dxgi.dll

 

Next fired up dcs to verify it was working via seeing the split screen. Then exited and disabled the split screen option in the settings txt and good to go. "#define USE_SPLITSCREEN 1 //[0 or 1] Splitscreen : Enables the before-and-after splitscreen comparison mode". Change the 1 to 0

I'm new here. I tried sweetfx for petep's D like HDR as he suggested. But the fps dropped to less than 20 after using it. w/o sweetfx, fps w/ hdr is 40+

Same here... Asked about it earlier but no replies. SweetFX kills my FPS even when every option is set to 0. Tested with splitscreen being the only one set to 1 to verify everything else is off.

I fiddled with SweetFX settings past few days and and I have found settings I like (and most likely fit my monitor adjustments).

 

As different people's settings are very easy to swap and try I've attached my file (backup your file fist)

errm... no they are not the same, double check (maybe you opened same file twice?)

I've uploaded here the newest SweetFX - version 1.5.1,

in JSGME compatible sturcture.

I've put PeterP's settings file here, which is free to be altered of course.

I compared your uploaded 1.5.1 version with the 1.5.1 from guru3d

There are many difference:

1. your version misses d3d9.fx

2. the file sizes of d3d9.dll & dxgi.dll mismatch

3. the version indicated in readme in ur file is 1.4 not 1.5.1

How about using the sweetfx w/ HDR turned off?

 

Have you tried the sweetfx 1.5.1 from guru3d?

I did not manage to solve it. I never used the in-sim HDR anyway to save FPS. I'm using the x64 version. Not sure which one you are talking about?

Has anyone found a way to use SweetFX and SoftTH together? At least one of them has the ability to chainload another dll but I couldn't get it working. Nor did using SFX in RadeonPro with the SoftTH dll in the bin/ folder work.

Sweetfx 1.5.1, works just fine with Win7 64-bit.....as that's what I'm using and I have no problems.

All the version floating around here should work fine. If you acquire it from elsewhere then it is a different story since you can find both a 64 and 32 bit version of 1.5.1 or some earlier versions.
