Greece as faction in DCS World

Why DCS doesnt have Greece as a faction in the game? Hellenic Air Force is on the top of the airforces globaly and always first in NATO exersises.

Greece has no money to take part in exercises. The UK might have to be removed from the game soon to :-)

I agree with you on that point, Greece has a good air force and should be in the game and there's a lot more missing actually. Though not sure "it's on the top of the air forces" ^^

It is one of the top airforces because of the quality not because of quantity. On RedFlag hellenic F-16C took the tails of the americans F-22. After USAF decide to redesign tge canopy of the F-22 for tacking helmet system. In all NATO exersises Hellenic Air Force is always accomblish all mission with outstanding performance and always first leaving the countries that have F-16 and Mirage 2000c/-5 way behind.

Plus that Hellenic Air Force always is in war readyness condition like Israel

Even tgat we dont have money as you say. We always participate on NATO & International exersises. If we sidnt had money to mobilize air ground and sea units.....we were not going to talk now cause some could took the advantage of that crisis. :)

I know that Greek pilots are pretty good and can achieve great exercices, though the "always first" is wrong, you know it's making a generality. So yes their pilots are good and the reason is because it's rock hard to have a slot! Same thing here in France, to get your a$$ in a Rafale you have to be the best of the best at the flight school.

An F-16 add-on would do the job.. Like this, large part of Europe can be happy.. Poland,Norway,Denmark,Greece,Belgium,Turkey...They all fly it.

About the 6month war....propably. Noone knows the exact numbers of ammunition that each country has. But what i know is that when the war in Lybia was on...The european contries that sent thwir airforces..they asked from Hellenic goverment to suply them with aamunition cause there were already depleated after 7 days!!! Its official and i know it. ;)

Totally agree this forum is not for political discussion.

I can agree more that adding Greece to DCS world can enhance more users over Europe to join DCS world from a marketing point of view. As if they also insert flight models like f-16 or something equivalent.

I strongly welcome the idea to add Greece, at least except from Antonio-TIGER at least another one user (me) will download the game.

And for the record DCS Greece, former Lock On Greece is a strong and very active community, dedicated solemnly to DCS products.

Its a great idea to have Greece in DCS WORLD. And yes its true that having greece in the game, the company will make an excelant marketing move to people that love simulation in greece. Yes its true that greek people that are in simulation communities in greece the dont just like simulation they really LOVE simulation. And if u think that greece doesnt have money....you are just wrong cauae we always keep somerhing on the side for a good simulation to buy it.

LockOn Greece is one of the largest communities in Greece starting with the first Lock On and most people started with early Flanker series. We also have a mod in FC2 for greek markings aircrafts plus a fantastic work from a member of our community to construct a hellenic a-7e!!!

I want to thanks all the people for supporting this idea. And i hope people from the company to see this post and most of the members of the forum to read all these we wrote here.
