I don't see any news about A2A missiles improvements.

Can't wait for Hornet.:joystick:

A2A Missiles are a work in progress. Please be patient with them.

Good to hear the FA18C is going to be finalized after the FC updates.

Please be careful with your interpretation. Wags has stated that the avionics programmers will fully commit to the Hornet after FC. There is absolutely no information about the progress of the project as a whole in that statement. Even if it is good news, try to "manage" your expectations.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Will the AFM for the Su-27 give us back the cobramaneuver? If yes, will it be nonscripted? Same for the tailslide. :joystick:

I would imagine so...

Nice! The Crane with AFM and DCS level Hornet. I think landing on a carrier is going to be quite a challenge with AFM no? Can't wait. Oooh I can see myself throwing my family out to the curb so I can play DCS Hornet full time.

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

The anti-ship missile is the big event!:P

No. It shouldn't even be much different from SFM if you're doing things right.

Pretty much. Try it with the Su-25A/T, come slow and steady and deploy the drogue chute as soon as you can and use the ramp to make sure you stop safely, it's not too hard. The job's made much easier when you have an aircraft which was design for the job, with reinforced landing gear/airframe, ILS and an arresting hook (and more forgiving as well - go-arounds aren't much of an issue, whereas with a drogue chute deployed, overshoot the deck and that's the end of it). Plus, I feel like all AFM aircraft are much more pleasant to handle and do small inputs than their SFM counterparts, but maybe it's just me.

Pfff, I've landed on the US carrier @ 35 kph with the A-10C, so landing the Hornet will be a piece of cake ;)

Instrument landing on your home carrier in a storm at night after a long mission, that's going to be exciting :)

ILS approach at night during a storm? Parachute-assisted landing on my feet for me. :music_whistling:

Would they launch under such conditions unless extremely necessary though? Sounds pretty risky to have pilots landing in such straining conditions with added pilot fatigue and possible combat damage (given the nature of the missions we fighter/attack cowboys/girls usually fly :D), no?

They could have launched in good weather and several hours later ran into bad weather. It could happen I think...

Really can't wait for the F/A-18. The AFM's for the SU27 and F-15 will be a nice stepping stone though and great for practising BFM. Just thinking about where this sim could be in a couple of years makes me seriously excited.

nice news :D I'll be pre-ording DCS F/A 18C Hornet as soon as its available!

DCS fidelity jets are always welcome and so is new terrain :)

Of course I wouldn't mind some 2 seater choppers and jets too.

Yeah, I know, I know, I want it all and I want it now :P

FC3 is in the final stages of being completed then left to fizzle out I think. I think it concludes EDs contractual obligations to Ubisoft (publisher of LOMAC). Then it's full steam ahead on DCS modules and other DCS World goodies.

Very much understood on my end sobek although I know it was not directed towards me. I do wonder, however, what is left to be done on FC3 avionics other than the bug squashing? I'm on the outside looking in and sometimes shortsighted and miss things easily, but if you dont mind enlightening me I would sincerely appreciate it. :)

I really like what ED has done in FC3, especially with cockpit upgrades. At the same time I am very happy for ED to get out from under Ubisoft. Good times are ahead for us all if we can exercise our patience (preaching to myself). New terrain engine, 3rd party aircraft and maps, sea operations (wide open), much more potential for combined arms (SAM site addon please!!)....... I seized up from excitement!! :D You get my point though.
