SilentGun Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I was just wondering if the Mi-8 will be able to pick up and drop-off trucks. And if so then would it be in beta? Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)
Silver_Dragon Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) Mil Mi-8 can carry 4000kg internal / 4000kg sling external, but not sure if pick up vehicles, etc will be available in the future. Devrim Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 If so, it will be very funny to drop trucks from 500 m. to the ground and to watch exploding. :) Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 SuperSuprimX | Corsair V. 64GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | TM Warthog Stick w/AVA Base | VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 & M.Quest3 VR >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068

Anyone volunteering to model a giant dart board ? :megalol: Link -> Stateful button commands for many DCS modules

Kaktus29 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 haha, lol.. who needs bombs when you can drop trucks on enemy.. hell yeah. ... bomb 'em with trucks.. and the rebels watched in terror as the chopper wing bombarded them with trucks of all kinds, with spare parts, machine parts, tractors and other vehicles.. the rebel pick-up trucks were decimated under heavy tractor/truck bombardments and are surrendering as we speak).. only drawback would be you end up with trucks on top of buildings.. it would make hell of a hard time cleaning up the city afterwards..
WildBillKelsoe Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 ^ actually that could solve traffic congestion around Georgia/Russia. 1 AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
joey45 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I'd see some very entertaining "games" developing out of that. Anyone volunteering to model a giant dart board ? :megalol: Top Gear style.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. muamshai Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 feeling to troll? just pick up a truck, put it in the middle of runway and watch fixed wing pilot go all mental. 2 This space is available for your advertisement

SilentGun Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 That's funny and all but kind of wanted a serious answer (that would sound funny to drop a truck off at the top of the caucus peaks and just leave him there) Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Lord_Pyro Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Certainly not at releaseversion. Right now there is no attach/ hook up script wich would link and unlink 2 objects to each other physically. That will have to be made beforehand. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70340_1.gif[/sIGPIC]
jbrking Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Can't wait to see something like this with the Mi-8.. That, sling loads and infantry transportation. Su-27 Flanker 1995 Super EF2000 1997 Jane's F/A-18 1999
Weta43 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Certainly not at releaseversion. Right now there is no attach/ hook up script wich would link and unlink 2 objects to each other physically. That will have to be made beforehand. You mean an external script that would be manually included in missions ? Don't think so ... Cheers.
dahui Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 it will give a HookMod for the Huey. shouldnt it be possible to copy that script? It would be nice to change the weight of the Cargonet in the Mission editor :)
NeilWillis Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Better than trucks, why not something warm, smelly, and renowned for interfacing with fans? Either buckets, or cargo nets with a very fine mesh would work!
esb77 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Dip bags for firefighting first I hope. Cool off some of the burning wreckage around airfields in multiplayer. :smilewink: Or just really spread out the puddles of burning jet fuel. Callsign "Auger". It could mean to predict the future or a tool for boring large holes. I combine the two by predictably boring large holes in the ground with my plane.
