well if any latest jets are impossible to do such as the rafale and typhoon, i want at least a fighter with some digital gauges like the m2k-5or-9

There are both still in use so their systems are still Secret Défense. Even the symbology on their screen is likely to be protected. Anyone who talk about them risk several years of jail and thousands of euros of condamnation. It makes those plane unlikely to be seen.

And before you quote the 2000c, it is a whole different story as it's no more in service.

I don't think a Rafale (or an Eurofighter) is realistically doable. I know some claim the contrary but I won't believe it unless I can see it/play it. They are just too modern and too much of their avionic is classified.

For the next European airplane I would like to see a Jaguar A. It has seen some action, its systems are relatively simple, it was efficient and in use in several countries (though in other versions).

And how would you know what has been redacted or not? ;)

Bear in mind those in the know won't be able to confirm it in public anyway for the same reason it's redacted in the first place ;)

F16 Falcon. Any variation, I don't care! I think the legendary plane deserves a home under DCS.

Though the poll is clear. European.

My vote is Typhoon. I love allot of planes including the Viggen and Rafale, but the Eurofighter is a very complete, interesting and complex plane.

It makes sense.

Greek/German origin.

Flying sims since 1984.

Using computers since 1977.

Favored FS's:F/A18 Interceptor, F19 Stealth Fighter, Gunnship, F16 Combat Pilot, Flight of the Intruder, A320, Falcon 4.0, MSFS 2004-X, DCS

^Or we could get a European variant of the F-16...I bet you didn't consider that :D

Anyway, I'd like a Tornado F3.

I think the later F3s had ASRAAMs...good missile, funny name if you say it wrong. :megalol:

F22

sure maybe in 40 years once it becomes unclassified.

At this time I am skeptical ed or any 3rd party dev could even obtain the necessary specs to even make a fc3 style f22 let alone a full fidelity one without reverting to hacking or espionage.

Even more so for the f35 since it's not even in combat service yet

Build:

Windows 10 64 bit Pro

Case/Tower: Corsair Graphite 760tm ,Asus Strix Z790 Motherboard, Intel Core i7 12700k ,Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 64gb ram (3600 mhz) , (Asus strix oc edition) Nvidia RTX 3080 12gb , Evga g2 850 watt psu, Hardrives ; Samsung 970 EVo, , Samsung evo 860 pro 1 TB SSD, Samsung evo 850 pro 1TB SSD,  WD 1TB HDD

Why does that matter? You can have a decent mod through what's publicly available...look at the P3D F-35, just because we don't have the -1/-34 doesn't mean we can't guess.

I would kill for an SFM/ASM F-22 or F-35. I'd pay for it too. :joystick:

Does anyone here think FC3, A-10, MiG-21, anything in the sim, is 100% realistic?

Yes it does matter.. because DCS is a " study sim". This isn't an arcade flight game like ace combat, Or World of war planes.

Those aforementioned modules arent based on guess work because those had basically. unclassified stats as well as access to the aircraft cockpits and thus could be fully modeled

Im sorry I i wouldn't want to play a mod unless it gets at least a proper cockpit. ALl mods seem to use whatever plane they used.

And mods its harder finding a online server using them, so you could use it and play with others.

havent yet seen any " Paper " F22 Raptors in MP.

And again, do you think the current situation, as it comes to aircraft simulation, is 100% realistic in DCS? I personally don't think so, but that doesn't stop me from greatly appreciating all the hard work ED, the 3rd parties, modders, etc. have put into the sim to make an enjoyable and mostly realistic experience. You know, just because DCS is a "study sim" doesn't mean one can't guess; if we couldn't have any guesswork done, we'd have just about nothing in the sim.

As for implying that making somewhat speculative aircraft is equivalent to Ace Combat realism?

I lol'ed. :P

On data availability: There definitely is a lot out there on those aircraft you/I mentioned, OTOH there's also a lot that isn't out there. There's some stuff that, for example, only the devs have access to.

TL;DR: I'm here to have fun in a simulated air war environment, not for perfect switchology/technical realism - although that can be nice sometimes!

BTW, there was an F-22 mod floating around a while ago, the mod list it was linked from was taken down, IIRC...it used a Su-27 or 33 cockpit/avionics and had the RCS of an unstealthy fighter. Such a mod with F-15 systems/cockpit would have been cool, but honestly, something like FC-style avionics + basic cockpit would be just fine. Is that optimal? No, I want what you (seem to) want - realism, but I'm willing to accept less so I can have more fun. :wallbash:

Quicky edit: By the way, sorry for this OT stuff...Maybe this should be its own topic/poll.

Poll says all that needs to be said. Buckets of cash for VEAO:)

Fixed that for you :D

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I never said 100% realistic you are now just making up things I never said.

But as it stands dcs is the most realities virtual experience you can get just shy of flying in a fully functioning replica cockpit that air force pilots would use. And that is in turn the most realistic thing to actually flying the real aircrafts .

And no you can't have a full fidelity nodule with guesswork. It takes lots of research manuals, technical advisors . Cockpit photos. And actual tour of a cockpit.Dunno about you but coding is very mathemattics reliant. The math doesn't lie. If there was guesswork dcs wouldn't b3 a sim but an arcade game.

That's why ed hasn't done 5th Gen planes or even 4.5 planes. They don't have the necessary information to make a simulated aircraft. Them there's also the legal issues wetter or not the countries respective go will give permission to make the aircraft.

I don't thing the usaf or an would have chosen dcs a10c module for pilot orentiatipn and training if it wasn't a full simulation or a guesswork arcade game.

So yeah in end dcs is arguably the most realistic virtual experience one can get save for a simulation with a full replica cockpit or flying tje real thing.

I'll reply in PM when I can, or if the mods could move this to the chit-chat section, that'd be nice too.

Really don't want to keep OT-ing the Euro Wishlist.
