My point is...

 

If it is possible to tell the autoupdater to roll the version back, then it should also be part of the repair process to check the current version number and repair to that version. There is no reason for the program not to be able to work this way.

To what end if there is a new version out? If you want to force your install to stay at an older version I would assume that is your choice, but probably not a recommended course of action by the dev team... but thats only my guess, someone like c0ff would no better if this is not how its supposed to function.

Real feature in real russian fighters.

 

Two options about lock targets : AUTO-MANUAL.

 

If the pilot select MANUAL Lock On Mode the pilot must leave depressed the lock on button on the throttle until target lock.

 

If that statement is true then ED should give us the option to either use manual or auto.

Esac_mirmidon... do you have a reliable source to back up your statement about the two options of Auto and Manual?

I have not looked into the working of that aspect of the sim, but if it is like most similar things it should be easy to add a country and define the units it can field.

 

If the mod exists and there is enough interest then ED may decide to incorporate it into the sim. Examples of this being the Australian logbook mod, and the English pit for the Black Shark.

Here's the inconsistency...

 

After the initial Manual Lock in vertical Mode 3, Mode 3 CAC then will start to autolock any target after that.

Read above post... try it yourself in the Instant Action FC3>Su-27 mission. Seems once you manually lock once, it returns to autolock.

yeah, that was in the fx file - which is not mod friendly and will change each/all engine smokes

 

better to add a line in PlaneConst.lua (per aircraft/engine type)

smokiness_level = 1.0;

smokiness_color = {0.75, 0.75, 0.5}; -- RGB yellowish smoke
