Sad that none of the Devs/Testers can make a statement on that. That gives the impression that it might take a long time until this comes out, and even longer until the high fidelity stuff gets released :(

Where did you get that logic? ED are dammed if they speak and it's taken longer to release or dammed if they don't speak because it evidently gives the 'impression' it's going to take longer :-) How about this, how long is a piece of string....! It will be done when it's done I am sure.

I was just trying to provoce a statement by one of the Devs about it. And although Wags didn't really let go of any specific information, it's good to know that they are working on it. Gives me hope, that I'll be able to do some BVR/WVR stuff in the near future.

It's not that they want us to be in the dark... Ed have been burnt in the past for promising some features and cutting them before release... So this is a lesson they learnt to save them grief later

Well the AFM will be included with FC3 but what I though the F-15C was going to be is actually a fully functional AFM at some point. So the basic AFM's will come with the FC3 purchase to those that don't already know.

The full fidelity model will be something we will have to buy I think. DCS F-15C HFAFM with clickable cockpit.

Of course we would have to buy it, if it's gonna be having a HFAFM and a clickable cockpit, it should cost at least more that 19.99. (I'm thinking around 49.99 on release if that includes accurate weapon systems.) I probably won't buy it, because it is made for A-A engagements, and I'm into multirole a bit more. F-15E is my style. :D

If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public.

One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.

I agree I am sure it's going to be 49.99 in beta. I also would like the F-15E but I will support DCS with the F-15C. But of course I will get the F-15E as well. I so want some other place to fly and also want to have a FF fast mover.

I don't think once they make AFMs for 15 and 27 they will do any significant upgrades in the future..to the point of calling it "HFAFM" and selling it as such. My impressions are, the AFM is AFM..and once they introduce it to Eagle and Flanker, the next step would be to simulate the whole package (systems, clickable pit etc).

I saw that about two years ago hehe, its a BBC 2 "Horizon" programme, they do some great documentaries. As a self confessed apocalyptically dense layperson, I felt like my cerebral cortex had just been roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris, then "dragon punched" by Bruce Lee, and finally kerb stomped by William "The Refrigerator" Perry.

Not sure if I will ever recover. Quantum mechanics literally makes my brain cry.

Aaiiieee!!! The shapes!!! The Chaos!! NOTHING MAKES SENSE. Its not right!!!

As far as I know there is only one AFM for each aircraft so it is the same for FC3 as the one developed for the DCS F-15C.

Just a little snippet from the Official Updates in June to hit on some of the discussion points.

The Next Eagle Dynamics DCS Modules

Later this year, we will offer:

A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs

Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs

F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs

Su-27: DCS Flaming Cliffs

These modules will feature:

1- Detailed 3D model (high polygon / high res textures)

2- 6 DOF cockpit

3- Advanced Flight Model (AFM)

4- Same level of cockpit system detail as the Lock On: Flaming Cliffs aircraft

We plan to release each at $19.99 USD.

We are releasing these modules for the following reasons:

1- It allows users access to these aircraft that do not own, or want to own, Lock On.

2- It allows users to buy just the aircraft they are interested in, without having to purchase the full Flaming Cliffs product.

3- It allows us to make these aircraft available to a much larger audience on Steam, Origin, GameFly and other digital retailers.

These updated FC3 aircraft will be made available for FREE to Flaming Cliffs 3 customers.

Other FC3 aircraft will be improved as well (like the Su-27, Su-25, F-15C and A-10A). When they are further along, we will discuss them.

We will develop a balance of lighter "DCS Flaming Cliffs" modules with more detailed/realistic "DCS" modules. The "DCS Flaming Cliffs" modules allow us to develop the more detailed "DCS" titles in a more iterative way. As such, we will continue to develop detailed simulation like A-10C. The next such "DCS" title will be F/A-18C.

I hope they are still on track for this year, but as it says in Matt's signature...

It's the same logic as buying the new Call of Duty each year!
