HungaroJET Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 frame rate friendly? Yes, when you moving away from model then lower poly LOD models come earlier, (in a shorter distance) LOD0 & 1-new model, LOD2 & 3 & 4-old model, LOD5-box with texture of old model LOD0 0- --> 360 meters LOD1 360 meters ---> LOD2 1000 meters ---> LOD3 1300 meters ---> LOD4 1700 meters ---> LOD5 2400 ---> 16000 meters however model will be invisible farther than ~7000 meters (builtin LOD for static objects) Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. Skull Hi You only need to unzip the file into your main "DCS World" folder or Copy the rar file into "DCS World" folder and open with "extract here" command or If you already opened/unrar-ed, then you need to drag and drop "Mods" folder (from Mi-8_Static_1.2.6 folder) into your "DCS World" folder Correct ways: Mods folder ---> into DCS World Tech folder ---> into Mods folder Shapes and Textures folders with mi-8.lua ---> into Tech folder but You ONLY need to copy/move the attached and unrar-ed "Mods" folder (from Mi-8_Static_1.2.6 folder) into your "DCS World" folder That's all ;) Edited September 10, 2013 by HungaroJET Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. CHSubZero Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Hey HungaroJet Your mod looks great!!! Just one question: I see screens of static georgian and russian Mi-8s. Have you but in your mod files I just see the russian skin. Will I see the georgian skin on georgian bases and the russian on russian bases? HungaroJET Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Will I see the georgian skin on georgian bases and the russian on russian bases? Unfortunately not yet, that's a future plan. However you can change the skin (skins from 1.2.5 or earlier versions) but then you will see that skin on all airbases. Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. Mustang Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 (edited) Nice, this works and looks great thank you HungaroJET (it's a shame that other static objects have the sinking bug) (now, how about releasing some of those other goodies you've been cooking up!)
