Redglyph Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Yea a spitfire this month ;) That'd be lovely, but that's not what I read... was there some announcement elsewhere? :bounce: System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
NeilWillis Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Yes, likewise, I have re-read the weekend newsletter, and I saw nothing about the Spitfire statement. Has it been amended and withdrawn?
Redglyph Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Well, it says what they're doing next once the flight model is completed, but that doesn't tell when it would be completed, neither that it would mean release time. The Mirage had a pretty good flight model way before its release. Still, that'll keep me from committing the mistake of buying it for P3D (maybe the fact there's no guarantee it works with P3D, and the fact that P3D is pretty much disappointing help too ;) ) - talking about the Accu-sim version of course. gavagai Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Once we complete the flight model of the Spitfire IX, we will begin work on a new flight model for the MiG-29. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2635562&postcount=10 P-51D | Fw 190D-9 | Bf 109K-4 | Spitfire Mk IX | P-47D | WW2 assets pack | F-86 | Mig-15 | Mig-21 | Mirage 2000C | A-10C II | F-5E | F-16 | F/A-18 | Ka-50 | Combined Arms | FC3 | Nevada | Normandy | Straight of Hormuz | Syria
Cripple Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Don't see where the "month" came from though... My *new* AV-8B sim-pit build thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3901589 The old Spitfire sim-pit build thread circa '16/17: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143452
NeilWillis Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 And that just says the flight model, it says nothing at all about any pending release, which is why I could not, and still cannot see anything about a release within a month.
Coxy_99 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I was pulling legs :) there will be so many skins for it tho
gavagai Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Oh, yeah, of course it won't come this month. That is really wishful thinking! DieHard Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I am really looking fwd into the Spitfire Mk IX! Really!!!! Next will be the Normandy map, but I guess I'll still have to wait for a while for that .... No problem in that, I'm busy already with the 3 ww2 birds and 2 helicopters :-) If I am lucky, might have 15 years left. ED, don't wait too long... LOL! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

westr Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 If it wasn't for the fact there is no pilot in the cockpit I would think it was a photograph. Absolutely chuffed that it we will have the full elliptical wing. The pictures are stunning. Just gutted it will have to wait till mid year to get hold of her. But for me personally this module will be my favorite release yet. I just know this is going to be such a good simulation of a spit. msalama Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) The pictures are stunning.+1!!! She's absolutely, absolutely gorgeous. Now I'm not a fighter guy in the slightest, but the Spit is such an iconic aircraft that this'll be an immediate purchase for me. Well as will most properly modelled WW2 AC be for that matter, it has to be said... ;) Edited January 29, 2016 by msalama The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
