I'll take the P-40 as soon as it comes out - already bought. I'll shell out for the Spit, too. But my preferred ride will be the Jug.

And like you, I'll go for an American bomber - any of them.

Me too, can't wait for the Jug to come out. Watched a TV show yesterday, that highlighted Gabby Gabreski's career. Pretty cool pilot.

Was interesting to hear that a common mistake for rookie LW pilots, was to dive away from the Jug. You just ain't gonna do that....

Being the namesake of the A-10 you would think it would be higher priority.

Yeah, that has no bearing on it at all ;)

I know, it was more of an observation and slight sarcasm. :music_whistling:

Great Video it looks very stable when doing taxi and takeoff

In lassie video Sith posted there are 2 different kill markings on the aircraft, does anyone know what they mean?

From what I can find, the victory symbols picked out in red were air-to-air, while the plain swastikas were for kills scored while ground strafing: the USAAF recognised that ground strafing, particularly of heavily defended targets such as airfields, was dangerous enough that aircraft destroyed on the ground could be categorised as kills. Down to Earth: Strafing Aces of the Eighth Air Force.

Some further material related to the USAAF's tactical operations

Nice video, I wonder if we will get ground crew on the wing to direct us to the runway?
