It 's really wonderful news about F-15C!

I am sure that this release will make a great impact to the hall DCS image out there that will bring lot people in DCS word. Especially if the flight model worth what can achieve.

For me really, the important thing is how close to the real model would become and better of the competitors simulators and not when will be released by the devs.

Anyway they have already gave us planes to fly.

The other thing I was glad to hear is that the brakes are independent and work by axes not a key. Good to hear that also.

:)

I think Glowing Amraam has one sitting on his HDD to be released. Obviously a promo though.

I don't know how well the AFM changes could be conveyed in a video. Aside from the obvious ground handling changes, belly landing in grass without instantaneous explosion. Oooh, maybe they can do donuts with the differential braking. Perhaps no one can be shown what the AFM is, they'll have to experience it for themselves.

It can't show you the details.

Get ready to re-learn how you roll a plane for example ...

Hope we get some videos of the AFM in action soon.

...and the answer :bounce:

In fact, our F-15 SME had commented that the DCS F-15C has superior flight modeling in many ways to the 3 million dollar trainer.

Idk, I think if a video shows off slow speed edge of the envelope menuvers, the airplanes behavior and lack of scripted stalls will really stand out

What is the big deal about the video? Would you rather not fly it sooner than wait for somebody to create/edit a video that really doesn't mean squat?

I dont think the video would hold up the updates, unless of course they made the F-15 SME do it :D

A 1 or 2 minute video demonstration would be good for promotion IMHO.

When the AFM is done, then there will be a possibility for a video. Or you'll just get it in an update.

Right now there's nothing to show off because the AFM is not done.

A Tach Demo would look better in High AoA and Slow Speed Maneuvers prolly.

is that the system which tells/warns you: over-g, over-g, over-g ? :)

and i hope that team will add/correct the intake+diffuser ramps and nozzle animations whit real squealing/whimpering noises for both when works

nozzle noises

startup intake drop noises

Not sure what do you mean about intake sound during start up, could you clarify? AFAIK, intakes are Hydraulically driven/operated and the only sound i hear is the JFS coupling and decoupling ( to be precise is the CGB/JFS combo, I know some one will have to bring that up, but anyway).

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Wags also said it probably won't make it into 1.2.7 but 1.2.8

Does this mean that simple update of your FC3 install to 1.2.8 would rewrite current Eagle's FM?

I hope it won't be that advance that the Government won't allow us to use it lol

I wonder if it's possible that it could be pushed through a later update of 1.2.7...

Okay guys I'm just going to go ahead and say it - I had a dream about the F-15 AFM last night.

Guess I'm even more excited about it than I thought!

Because that's the way things are. Things are also subject to change.
