  3. That's not what he said. The aim-7 will be brought up to the new systems modelling introduced with the R-27. Not that all of the aim-7's will have monopulse antennas.
  4. I've had some folks contact me directly with thoughts - thank you. I am at a bit of a loss here, if I'm being honest. This works perfectly for some transmissions and not at all for others (like the video above). Strangely, the ones that are degraded are NOT always the same ones. The first transmission has yet to fail. Practicing what I preach, this is a MOD FREE mission and I have ZERO mods loaded in my DCS environment. Hopefully Sedlo or any other campaign creator using the RADIO TRANSMISSION approach can weigh in here on how they avoid the issue of degradation to the degree that I'm seeing. Candidly, if this is the base product, I don't know how anyone uses with any degree of confidence. I'm about to kick this idea to the curb and go back to SOUND TO *** triggers and accept the immersion loss. Tagging a couple more campaign creators that likely use the Radio Transmission approach. @baltic_dragon @Sandman Simulations @SorelRo Thanks all!
  5. if you want some clues on which blue airbases have been crucial during the conflict, this is a good page. https://www.amvi.it/news3495-24-marzo-1999-venti-anni-fa-iniziava-loperazione-allied-force.html
  6. Also a shame in DCS we don't have quite the right block of F16C for 31st fighter wing stationed in Aviano. They had block 40's in the 90s and i think even to present day still do.
  7. We've still got slots open for class 25-02 if anyone is nullinterested in flying the A-10C with the v303d.
  8. Rivolto airbase is missing in Friuli, but even more important is Ghedi. It’s further on the west of north Italy, but it was one of the most crucial bases during the conflict. To expand there, alongside the addition of the Tornado, would be essential to reproduce real operations
  9. Ah yes "altis" and "stratis" from Arma 3
  10. Don't bother. You point out errors, such as the fact that with DL ON you can only set a single target as the system target, and you get the response that this is supposed to be a ROE problem that will be fixed with the implementation of DTC. The only problem is that the two have nothing to do with each other. If I turn DL OFF, I can suddenly make all 4 of the 4 detected targets to system targets at the same track timestamp with one TMS right short. For years, people have been trying to tell me that a function of the radar, not the display, is linked to the ROE system. Nice... no! If you look at the current function in the manual, you can't even begin to replicate what is shown there in DCS. To this day, no one can tell me why the ROE system should prevent you from seeing system targets with DL ON, or from distinguishing whether a target with DL ON was even detected by your own radar. I have rarely seen a more illogical system than the one offered by DCS. The entire system is unreliable and creates even more workload for the pilot. I would wager all the money in the world that the current DL and ROE system in DCS has nothing to do with the one in real life. A system (DL) that prevents the pilot to see all necessary Information on one blink and gives him less situation awareness as without? A dream must come true. Come on. Wanne see which Target is tracked? Hit a Button (IFF left, ones), and after that, switch back (IFF right, ones). Oh, you have lost the track, but can't see this? Guess it. We all know, guessing is the best way to rule the battlefield. And if you don't want to guess, switch every second DL on and off. Which pilot wouldn't love a heavy Button workout? Yeah....

  12. And again, I have found some more photos that emphasise the dramatic topography the Fliegerhorst Pferdsfeld was settled on. I hope Ugra Media sees and implements the correct topography for all airfields but especially for Pferdsfeld, considering that it was infamous for being situated right on hillside. Here you can see the drastic incline the main taxiway that runs parallell to the runway from the East EOR This is a backup beacon of some sort located off the airfield to the south east And two more shots of the lighting equipment on the east side of the airfield, leading in to RWY27 Layout plan from 1997, taken from the "Programmheft" for the Fly Out of JG73 out of Pferdsfeld to Laage Thanks for looking and see you again very soon, Rohrkrepierer o7
  13. Oh good it includes areas around Villach where we used to go on holiday, with frequent excursions into Italy and Slovenia. Who can forget heading over the pass back into Austria and meeting the Slovenian T34 sitting at the head of the pass as a gate guardian
  14. Bump. If you can extend the border for Soesterberg, you can definitely do the same for Skrydstrup. It is only 40km from the Phase 3 border.
  15. Dear OnReTech, Will medium civil airports as Vršac airport be included later or at release? Asking because there is many of smaller civil airports on German map. Thank you. p.s. Today, Ive got best gift for birthday from you, announcing this map!

  18. Thing is it wasn't fictional, all of the NATO Mig-29s were updated to have the cockpit in English. So it is a real thing. ED would have to come up with a metric version of the F-15C cockpit by themselves, so it would take a lot more time than the one they just needed to copy and retexture for the Mig-29.
  19. Ups! Right! I've never seen it before. Man learns the whole life. Thx. The model actually looks a bit old, but in this case the shape is quite simple and does not need to have too many details although it can always be refreshed and new features added. Thanks for the reply! https://theaviationgeekclub.com/an-in-depth-analysis-of-how-serbs-were-able-to-shoot-down-an-f-117-stealth-fighter-during-operation-allied-force/.

Oh wow, I had no idea that any of these were ever shot down! Sorry to go off topic, fascinating! Stealth??
  21. Hi! Camp Bondsteel was used by US operations for many years, I know it doesn't have an airstrip/runway, but it had plenty of helipads! Also, I don't know the name of it, but there was also a very small military base East of Gjilan - I noted it in the pictures attached. Some guy I met there said it was heavily used by the Rangers in the 1990's. Helicopters used the stadium to land so I know if it had any official helipads from my knowledge. I actually slept in a guard tower there one night on a training exercise in 2010. Thank you for your consideration!
  22. Located near Naples, just out of bounds of the detailed area. RDAF and RNoAF flew from there in 1999 during Operation Allied Force, a first time deployment of F-16's for both nations. A lot of Danes and Norwegians would be very pleased to see it added.
  23. BIGNEWY

    AI F-117

Hi, we already have an AI F-117 in DCS
  24. I would suggest that you take a close look at the Task Manager to see which cores DCS is using and how high the GPU usage is in VR. In my experience, the GPU in VR is severely limited by the CPU. The maximum utilization of my GPU in VR is 86%, with an average of 78%. That's pretty low. You can clearly see that DCS only uses 3 cores, and at least one of them is at almost 100% utilization. Sometimes, but more by chance, I manage to distribute the load differently using the Process Lasso tool, so that no core is fully utilized anymore. Suddenly, instead of 56 FPS, I have 78 FPS (F16, Instant Action, Afghanistan, Cold and Dark). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out exactly what I need to change to achieve this. It's pure coincidence every time. The fact is that the FPS changes dramatically with the CPU load, completely independent of how high the CPU clocks. In 2D, with only the CCD1 (without cache), at 200 MHz more base clock, I get 30% less FPS than when both CCDs or only the one with the cache (CCD0) are running. I'm pretty sure my observations show that the problem lies in how the DCS EDGE engine manages the cores. This behavior has only become more apparent since a few updates, as if something in the core engine has been changed and the CPU core, which is also responsible for the GPU, has to deal with much more than just GPU communication. Perhaps in preparation for the dynamic campaign?
  25. I don't have a major problem with Sinai. Except real life has made me not wanting to use quite a lot of it. I think it was a mistake to set it in modern time. 60/70s would have been much more interesting.
  26. Sometimes we get small assets with maps, an example would be the South Atlantic map. Will it be included? Theoretically, if we're going to have the F-35A as an FF, then the F-117 even as an AI would be a cool idea. Maybe in cooperation with @currenthill ? Please think about it :).
