  2. Knowing Lua is definitely a plus, but it’s not super essential when you’re just getting started. Once you understand when to use things like an if statement or a for loop, you’re already halfway there. Of course, deeper Lua knowledge will speed up your workflow and open more possibilities over time. I started scripting in DCS without actually knowing Lua..I began by using only MOOSE. Then Lua came naturally as I progressed, and now I have no issues working with any type of script. Still, I prefer using MOOSE for DCS rather than relying on the native APIs. P.S. Judging by your name, I guess you’re Italian (I am too). Not sure if I can say this here, but if you want, look for “DCS ITALIA” on Discord, we can get in touch there in the future.
  3. This is exactly what I have been going through with the Pro controllers, but not in DCS. The right controller especially will lose tracking and the Quest hand will be 6 inches away from the controller. I'll also get a warning in the messages panel that the right controller isn't tracking. Turning off virtual hand controllers decreased this issue but I think your wanting that enabled. The other issue with the pro controllers is that they constantly shut down. This can happen in as little as 5 seconds of not moving them. Mine were brand new inside of 30 days so they are on their way back to Meta via Amazon. My replacement set have not yet shutdown or lost tracking though I have not enabled the virtual hands again.
  4. ok so i just tried out hand tracking on quest 3. pretty cool, but still janky to use update first post, asking if ED can have the point of cockpit interaction on the index finger rather than as a pointer
  5. Well, I don't know if EA has been tweaking the AI, but now the wingmen obey orders and don't run away like cowards. For my part, apart from going all out with flares, I modified the wingmen to attack with rockets, and on the first pass they caused quite a bit of damage. Then I attacked with rockets to finish off the first group and made a second pass with bombs to finish off the second (the damage with bombs is much more destructive now, by the way). Very fun! 6. Just noticed the same issue last night. It seems like engine no. 1 one has a fuller sound model (turbine whine, combustion, and, with the sound of massive amounts of air being compressed and moved). While engine no. 2 only generates a quiet turbine sound. Both engines combined sound great, but not so much when you have an engine failure (confusing auditory feedback)
  7. Cool idea, great execution! [emoji1] [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  8. It`s true? The carrier issue, fold wings, was solved? I love this plane! Thank you guys for the work!
  9. use a math.random and set the flag trough trigger.action.setUserFlag https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/DCS_func_setUserFlag
  10. Is it realistic that I dont need any rudder input while hover start and landings? I think it was different with the old FM, right? I only need the rudder paddles tu turn the nose but not to counter the torque form the side rotor. Or is fly by wire so sophisticated in the UH60L that it does all by it self. What is that Cyclic resistance slider in the special options used for? Thanks!

  13. I’m asking my PC support what that hypervisor crash was Never had any performance trouble from this. I ran a stress test on the GPU which passed. Rolling back the driver earlier didn’t help.
  14. I get 2 success landings in succession. Fun and great explanation on how the comm should work. But I am still bad in entering the "grove". More practices needed. No video yet...
  15. According to the 'G' flight manual it's IFF, although in that it's called Mode 4. EDIT: Your eyes are fine - it's a crappy scan job.
  16. Flight activities on the CWGNTS are continuing on a regular basis. Just today, 1./JG71 had a three-ship ACM exercise in TRA205 supported by excellent ATC service across stations Buechel TWR, Buechel RADAR, Frankfurt RADAR and LONESHIP CRC, providing full IFR ATC and exercise monitoring. Here is one shot of how ATC folks see the world in DCS (thanks to Felix for providing the screenshot and excellent ATC for us!): Join the CWGNTS community and fly or control in a realism-minded, professional military air traffic environment.

  18. If they actually appear visually on the screen for you but Jester couldnt tell, then we would definitely like to have a track as that is something we can tweak [emoji106] Just means that his "eyes" arent good enough yet. (While ofc not being too good to pick them up within clutter where humans couldnt see it either)
  19. The problem with that is that it will automatically shut off when you hit your set BINGO fuel level. In that case your switch is going to get out of sync anyway so it's not going to help your issue.
  20. M-2000C easily is the closest comparison. Though the M-2000C is harder for Navigation, but has a more versatile autopilot. Air to air and air to ground options are similar. The MiG-29 has also a fairly comparable layout in a terms of radar options and weapon selection, though jettisoning just the tank is easier then in M-2000C if you want to keep your medium range missiles. Start up is easier in the MIG-29, and requires less steps especially when using the switch cages Overall the layout is fairly intuitive on the 29, and similar to the M-2000C certainly better then say the mirage F1 where you have to operate controls on both the right and left side of your body to operate the radar and select and deselect weapon stations to use BVR missiles or bombs. Radar is more capable and versatile in the M-2000C, but requires slightly higher workload and going fully heads down unless using ACM modes.
  21. I had Mode 1 light up today during a BVR intercept, anyone know what it means? I'm presuming something to do with IFF?
  22. I would as well, but since there is no realistic option for those jets, this is the best option of the two worlds, a simple mission editor setting.
  23. I suggest that ED continue to offer this (and other modules that are no longer supported) in the shop, but clearly label these modules as “no further maintenance.” Then it will be clear to all customers that these modules are being sold as is.
  24. That is in many many years. Think about it. F-16, F/A-18, F-14, M2K, JF-17, F-5, all FC3. (And correct is a big word, yes the lack of a launch warning is correct, but that's all about it. It doesn't turn off with the radar on) This can't be a change that goes through a year, this is a multi layer change where all the logical simulation of that RWR system needs to be reworked. So again, having that option would solve the problem until everything will be added and updated to the proper simulation standard
  25. I do think that the nose nods from side to side with rudder inputs a lot more than it should. This is also a problem with other flight sims such as the (generally excellent) Cliffs Of Dover. The whole point of the fin is to damp this kind of thing; it’s why the fin has a much greater surface area than the rudder. I’ve obviously never flown a Corsair, but in all the different types I’ve flown IRL, including aerobatic aeroplanes, when you apply rudder by itself the nose swings smoothly together with a bit of roll (secondary effect as the outer wing speeds up a little), and it swings smoothly back when you take the rudder off again. All the nodding around makes it very difficult to either side slip or do a decent stall turn in DCS - both manoeuvres are easy IRL.
  26. Grazie!
