  3. So I received my Super earlier this week and all seems to be OK however I, for the life of me, cannot get sound to come out of the now installed DMAS speakers... I think this is because the headset itself is not being recognized as an "audio capable display". Question for you Super owners out there where things are working... are you seeing (2) distinct options in the windows "Audio Playback Device" options? I'm ONLY seeing the "Headphones (2- Pimax Crystal Super)" - when I select this, I do indeed get sound out of the headphone jack on the headset when I plug in earbuds, etc.. However I don't get any sound out of the DMAS speakers (which seems to make sense because I've selected the "headphones"). Should I be seeing ANOTHER Audio Playback device for the headset speakers itself in the list below? I believe this is the root of my problem but Pimax Support has been.... well...not super helpful so far. My understanding is that the DMAS speakers are driven through the DisplayPort connection whereas the headphone jack and microphone are driven through the USB connection (both of those appear to function properly) so I'm thinking there's something up with my 5090 and Super not playing well together. I've done a full DDU and nvidia driver install (latest drivers), I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled Pimax Play multiple times, tried multiple combinations of USB and DisplayPorts and the Super's firmware was updated to the latest and greatest so I'm running out of ideas. I'd be interested in hearing from any folks where it's working fine if 1. You see more than one Pimax Crystal Super option in the Playback device selector? (screenshot above) 2. If you see the Pimax Crystal Super in the list of "Audio Capable Devices" in the nvidia digital audio section of the nvidia app.. because I don't (and I have mine plugged into DisplayPort #1 currently)

  5. Why would you? It's an honest question and you wrote a super detailed report with all pertinent information available right away. The issue got squared away in no time, and if someone else happens to have the same question, chances are they find this thread when they search for similar reports. This is what forums are for.
  6. At the moment I'm waiting on DCS Optimized Textures Powershell Script and I saw his suggestion on SLAM, however I'll redo it on the next update and then will move the retexured files as a personal mod so now I'll just replace the originals with downscaled ones and check what is what. Ahhh once again the community modding saved the developer ars3s!
  7. I've never used this option before. I think that, having run a test on an old mission where I had previously experimented with radio parameter settings using the X:cockpit functions, it was active. So it was my mistake not to check the options before reporting it. I had never considered it and didn’t understand how it worked simply because it’s called 'Easy'. I apologize again to those who spent time on this issue.
  8. Every high contrast signature should work, so hot on a cold environment for IR and bright on a dark environment for TV (and vice versa), be it a vehicle, a building, a tree. As you easily lose focus it's best to look for an isolated entity. You can cheat on this by hitting <active pause> which gives you enough time to hit the ideal range - not in MP though. Yes, BSighting might be a bit tricky as you usually operate above the cloud layer (with no sight on ground structures) and during climb you got enough other tasks to do. While you are in hot you can do BS, as it's not that important . Just do a lock / handoff with the TGP and adjust the Maverick (as it's misaligned) for another lock. When both targets are identical hit "BS" and then just fire / ripple, so the next 1-2 Maves on that rack are aligned now. Just look for an isolated, easy to identify unit you need no TGP for under usual conditions. I'd call that "boresighting on the fly". As long as it's a suspicious dot on enemy ground you need no TGP.
  9. There is, indeed no going back. Here's another cool VR thing. Eject while sitting on the runway and just walk around and marvel at your jet from the outside with the POV of a person-sized object on the ground vs. the usual outside camera view.
  10. A mod manager is basically a script that copy and pastes certain files and keeps backups from the originals. The neat part is, that it keeps track and offers a convenient interface for all of this. The only thing you have to do, is to put your "mods" (altered files) in the same subfolder structure as the files you want to replace. I'm using OVGME, because it does what I need and is very simple to use. Yeah, I get that. But doing it manually got out of hand quickly. Actually, I could've kicked myself for not learning how to use a mod manager earlier.....
  11. Did you try Reflected's "Corsair , How it works" ? Also his other videos (Same place) It's in the Corsair main forum.
  12. Yes and I know that this thread would most likely get moved there like it did. Which is why I bumped it.
  13. In germany we say "haben ist besser als brauchen" which means "having is better than needing".
  14. I think even in the worst case, considering DCS liveries as Microsoft bloatware is just an exageration of bybical proportion.
  15. Today
  16. I have not gone above 12.5 GB even with the Phantom over Germany or Marianas. I agree that 24 GB has better longevity than 16 GB though. If the rumors are true.
  17. I'm sure there is quite more to this and now I have the picture why it is so hard and slow. Anyhow I'd like to learn how to do it myself if there is someone to teach Thanks!
  18. Theorically in September (or October if you are pessimist) this is what they said
  19. You need to open the controls panel and open the axis comands section. Right click on the bindings you have assigned RDR Cursor Switch X/Y and select 'Tune combo axis'. You should see the following box (see below). 'Curvature' changes the function of axis input_value/output_value. When done save your changes with 'OK'.
  20. Getting back into the Jeff and was wondering if anyone has a good method for both generating own ship bullseye positions and recording the position of a bullseye call in the destination page? I guess we have OAP but given that it works in feet some calculations would be needed.
  21. Stock is Sold. Restock shortly available (one Standard Edition from monday on ready to Ship.
  22. Hello, could you show your curvature as I can't imagine what you mean and how to reproduce it? Thank you!
  23. Beautiful aircraft but after update it's very hard to manage engine. Is there a good tutorial out there?
  24. The Jeff can’t do MGRS. MGRS is a western / nato reference system, whilst the Jeff is a Chinese/Pakistani jet. So, you do LSS to capture the jtacs laser. I think on some servers the JTAC uses the right reference system for the Jeff automatically if you spawn in one. But I forgot where
  25. I assume the choice of seat was two fold, i.e. SimReality were I believe primarily focused on the racing sim market As the units can put you at some somewhat unusual angles, being fairly well held it is probably rather prudent, especially so as they're demonstrating the units. Imagine if a customer fell out and hurt themselves? Personally I use a seat from an older (NB) MX5, which I find much more comfortable than say a race seat, cost peanuts and makes me smile having owned three of them.
  26. Do you use "enable afterburner gate" special option? For other problems remove mods, perform DCS repair and upload your dcs.log.
  27. Hello everyone, I would like to propose the possibility to give units (ground and naval only) the capability to create F10 marks using sensors (radar, optical or passive) and troops upon LOS only for enemy ground or naval units. This will allow editors not to use scripting for marks on the map. For example in the trigger list: Once -> unit xxxx detects enemy -> create f10 mark Thank you.
