  3. Hi all - Update 2.9.18.12722 has introduced additional scripting functionality and therefore also new security features. Unfortunately, this means that in every Rampagers missions, whenever getting the option to use the windshield switch to make a radio call, you will get a scripting error. To overcome this problem, you will need to give your DCS permission to call functions in lua scripts. You do this by copy/pasting the following lines into the file Saved Games\DCS\Config\autoexec.cfg if not net then net = {} end net.allow_unsafe_api = { -- this defines the secure zones where net.dostring_in() should be called from "userhooks", "scripting" } net.allow_dostring_in = { -- and this defines the scopes that you want to use from net.dostring_in() "server", "mission" } You can do this with any text editor.   8. Для активных р-77 там же можно сбрасывать захват с удаления 20 км до цели вроде. Дальше активная головка решает. Другой момент, как я помню миссию "перехват" быстрого старта для миг-29с (там 2 су-25 и 2 L-39, а потом 2 F-18), команда ПР даётся уж слишком поздно. СУО автоматом захватывает ведущего звена Су-25 идущих слева, потом захватывает ведущего звена L-39 идущего градусов 20-30 по азимуту справа от грачей. И пока СУО выдаст команду ПР, они уже в 20-25 км от меня. Как правило одна ракета из двух никуда не попадает.
  9. Got it........... Now where in the saved games folder does it go so I can build an OVGME mod file. I don't install mods directly into the game. So if I have conflicts they are easy to remove and troubleshoot issues. Thanks

Hi @Snoopy I get you want more and would like to see the lighting update, when time allows we will have updates, and we are looking at the requests for an expanded area, but currently its not planned. but it is not abandoned, it is feature complete, there is a difference and I don't think claiming it is abandoned is fair. thank you
  11. Catalina has "claimed" to make to the PTO assets pack. I expected ED build some funtionality on land on sea and lakes and DC vs Sub/Ships. Not bad if someone build them as a pilotable module.
  12. Hello, Just upgraded my warthog to TQS and AVA bases for stick. Everything works as should except for on thing. The RDR/CURSOR ENABLE button on the middle of the hat does not "ENABLE" the target in the F-16 like it should. It is mapped correctly, stock DCS mapping and I have verified that the button is actually alive via TM settings. Even the keyboard action of "ENTER" in DCS doesn't work. Therefore I am unable to lock up a radar target for AIM120 use Any thoughts? Thank you
  13. This made my day, thanks 2circle. A bit of behind-the-scene stuff in response to your comments. The voice actors were full of enthusiasm. No way we wanted to take that away from them - it's contagious. And of course there's way too much chatter on AUX altogether, but that's to tell the story. Actually, hadn't thought of a penalty on the recovery weight. Not sure whether it is possible to retrieve the aircraft weight by script, but loving the idea. Did include aircraft weights in the kneeboard for that reason, though. We did actually try to create time slots for departures and recoveries, but it got really messy. AI groups got stuck on the catapults if you, as the player, didn't comply. The long missions with AAR were also a worry -- we weren't sure whether it would be well received in the community -- so didn't want to add extra wait time at the end of a 2-3 hour mission. But, perhaps we need to revisit the idea next time. We're here for carrier stuff, after all.

  15. Just to add. The logic and purpose of the PIP, and the combined TV/FLIR FOV cycle in general, is explained in the new AAQ-33 chapter under Sensor Management. Take a look at the updated manual in your install. thank you
  16. Yes I can read but I'm sorry referencing a response from 2022 ....3 years ago with no updates on status since isn't valid, at least to me. Anyway, based on your responses to me this morning if it's so easy to add the lighting like you are insinuating ED not having it added to the NTTR map by now is ridiculous, other priorities or not. ED can't get timely updates to Iraq or Afghanistan out, no way we're getting any updates to the NTTR map.
  17. That error is not going away by updating DCS. It's literally written what it is, a mod conflict with undefined behaviour and memory corruption. There is a report in the known issue list that mentions one of the possible behaviours. So you have 3 options. 1) ignore the warning and continue. 2) uninstall the A-4 3) uninstall the CH-53 and CH-47 mod

  24. Of course, it's not meant for those players because it'd be no fun to them. The F-35 servers will probably be PvE and hopefully with some new Su-57 AI. Although there may be some slots left for MiG-29, Su-27 or JF-17 for anyone willing to face a challenge. I'm sure many ace redfor players will take a chance to take down the F-35

  26. Hi everyone, Despite the following being in the changelog: I am still experiencing issues with 5-inch/38 calibre guns, as fitted to the USS Samuel Chase and Essex-class. In the below tracks I have a single aircraft approaching the USS Samuel Chase from the starboard rear-quarter. Wind is calm, the ship is not in motion and I've set the weather to clear skies. In both cases the aircraft approaches from the same direction and remains in level flight, the only difference between the 2 tracks is the altitude the aircraft flies at. While the 3-inch/50 guns engage more-or-less as expected (they do however cease tracking and reset to their default positions instead of attempting to continue tracking the target) in the 6kft track the 5-inch gun never engages, despite doing so in the 2kft track. 6000 ft should be more than within the capability of 5-inch gun (in-fact it outranges and has a higher ceiling than the 3-inch guns - compare this table (5"/38) with this table (3"/50)). With the Essex (which I've separately reported here) does have the guns track the target in both tracks (the directors though do not track the target), but only in the 2kft track to they actually engage. However, even so, they take a long time to commence firing (the Bofors 40 mm actually opening fire first) and they only get a single salvo off before resetting(-ish). In the 6kft track, they again track the target, but never engage and simply reset, pretty much exactly mirroring this bug report for ground-based AAA - where so far only the KS-19 behaves as expected.
