DCS MiG-21Bis - Release 2.9.19.13478 - RSBN in Germany not working
skywalker22 replied to Molnija1985's topic in MiG-21Bis
Who did the new RSBN, Magnitude team? Mine version was complete and accurate (based on airports avilable at that time), this one is not. @Molnija1985 use mine, if you need the correct rsbn navigation. -

Not sure if it's every a/c, I've only tested with the F-18. When I have the kneeboard open if I have a page in view that is not one marked by the tabs/bookmarks, then I am taken to one that is marked by a tab (I think the last one I selected) if I press the SPACE or ENTER keys (which I have assigned to my HOTAS using its software). Is this behaviour intentional? It is causing me an issue because I have those keys assigned to other functions and my kneeboard pages are switched when I use those other functions (i.e. there is a bindings clash). Sorry if not a bug. I have checked all the bindings for the kneeboard and don't see why using the SPACE or ENTER keys should cause this behaviour as they don't appear to be assigned to any kneeboard function.

Yes it is. You will have to do some setup and maybe you have to turn down some settings in DCS. But you will be able to have a smooth experience. So what are you waiting for. VR is an absolute gamechanger.

I have a 3700X/64 RAM/4070 12GB. I'd guess that's at least a workable setup.

SA-22 performance
Alex_Weyland replied to Alex_Weyland's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Opened another one in CH thread. This one can be closed. -
Hello, Tracks are attached. Same scenario - 24 launched BGM-109 from 4 ships coming towards SA-22/SA-15. SA-22 does look like it can't track them properly and basically switching from one to another. SA-15 is capable to shoot 4 missiles simultaneously. SA-22 according to official public sources must do the same. But it rarely shoot 2 at the same time. Another problem - should skill level affect automated systems like SA-15/-22? There is a difference between amount of time between launches and amount of targets attacked. E.g., "average" Tor-M2 managed to launch only 3 missiles simultaneously. Can you please check this? Kind regards sa22__excellent_4thts.trk torm2__excellent_4thts.trk

I have never seen that light come on either. -
. . . And across the channel it’s sometimes called the “Condom mentality” . . . . It’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

Hi, I'm not very knowledgeable in dynamic campaigns, but I have a question : How do you win this ? Whatever the role I give to my squadron they never hit anything apart from enemy aircraft. After the 1st mission I advanced to 30-40% air superiority, and that's it. When I send flight for CAS mission they go somewhere else (see tacview track : Devil 5 is sent to CAS mission in India area and they get lost in the north... ), in sead mission they don't hit anything, it's like I have to do all the job myself... Another problem is that i have to wait for a very long time in order to have everyone ready in WP1, about 11mn (between I reach wp1 and Devil 5 reach wp1). Is it supposed to be like this ? ED is working on validation of current FC3 MiG-29 characteristics with new FF version, because FC3 version has changed: pitch damping has increased at low speeds and also unnatural coupling of roll rate with yaw rate has been adjusted (no strange yaw-roll coupled manouvers possible) With no official ED news in changelog, I feel it very clear. Big hope for FF version in that matter. Best Regards, Mat

If you'd like to use it, I can share my code and explain how to use it. I haven't created a standalone setup file yet. I assume you're already using SignalRGB.

Some of last updates of DCS make changes into MiG-29 physics: (1) pitch damping with FC3 MiG-29 has changed, pitch amping has been increased at low speeds, you can feel it every landing, (2) unnatural coupling of roll rate with yaw rate has been adjusted. ED has not informed us of it, but I suppose it is a flight model validation with new MiG-29 FF upcoming release. Best regards, Mat

Well, IRL pilots didn't like it much either for the same reason. The radar is not powerful enough to make the same kinds of images the F-15E is capable of.

Help getting highest INS accuracy for pre-planned popups
Nealius replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Seems like drift during the GPS era has improved. Even on longer flights I only get drift of 100-150ft, if that. I haven't tested pre-GPS era yet. -
Since this is the F-14B the player can plan both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions for his own flight. Of course, the Tomcat is at its best in air superiority missions and as an escort for the Hornets. For AI aircraft the F-14 mission options include fleet defense, escort missions, as well as CAP and sweep tasks in different areas.

+1 ... even if we don't have (yet) a Korea map, I'd like a Korean livery too. My preference is for regular service liveries of countries that we can fit on available maps (so, no african countries for example, apart from Egypt), also I'm not a fan of aerobatic teams or anniversary liveries, from your list at the 1st post I would prioritize these: Soviet BM (two red lines on fuselage) Soviet Camo Chinese PLAAF (Standard) BM East German BM - Early (old roundel) East German BM (new roundel) East German Camo - Fighter Bomber Livery (fictional on MiG-17F Lim5) Polish (Standard) BM Polish Camo - Fighter Bomber (fictional on MiG-17F Lim5) Czech MiG-17 (Standard) BM Czech MiG-17 "Red" Vietnam BM 2047 Vietnam BM 2019 Vietnam Camo 2072 Indonesian (Standard) BM Egyptian (Royal Standard) BM Egyptian Nile Valley Camo Iraq (Standard) BM Syrian Camo Syrian BM United Arab Republic (Standard) BM Cuban (Standard AS) BM (fictional on MiG-17F Lim5) Cuban (AS) Camo (fictional on MiG-17F Lim5) US "Have Drill" Camo (based on Syrian camo) Thanks a lot for querying the Users .. I will purchase this bird as soon as it's available, but please don't doo as the MB339 and provide a small "early access" discount Eduardo

On a separate note, in EXP mode the radar still maps all ahead. Should’t there be a doppler blind sector in front, as shown in Wag’s video 3 years ago? Also in that video he was at just 10 nm from the target. That is almost right overhead, well within potential threats. Anything further than 10+ nm the radar could hardly map out any useful sight. Much prefer the F15E radar, which can map even small target out to 20+ nm.
