Are we thinking about it... yes Do we know how to get the data... also yes Its probably gonna be lower on the list than some more key features. Only real blocker is the fact that some airports on the Caucasus map don't line up with their real world counterparts. All other maps work fine

Dup replied to peeter's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
There's a lot of modules we may lose with upcoming versions of DCS... I hope Polychop work will not follow the same path... -
This is great, I hope F-101B, and RF-101C versions are also comming?

Because not a single day goes by when I don't get messaged on Discord by someone who can't read basic instructions and they fail to install it properly. It's really annoying and the installer ensures it is put in the correct location. It also places the script for the door gunners in the correct location too. Lastly, it checks and shows you the update changelog so you can just run the installer and know if there is a new version and update. And I can just keep uploading regular small fixes when I can, without having to publish and announce lots of new versions. I think it is much simpler for everyone involved. I know it maybe conflicts with people who use mod managers, but I think on the whole that is a minority of players and the benefits are worth it.

reported Afghanistan IA Mission CAS FAC on wrong Freq
BIGNEWY replied to Scoop's topic in Bugs and Problems
this has been reported thank you -
Замечательный но не правдоподобный. Больше подходит для стоящего под дождём самолёта на полосе с работающим двигателем но ни как не на скоростях полёта.

Not sure about that. The Navy only switched to the base turn approach (instead of a straight in) as a solution to the obstructed view by the long nose of the corsair afaik. So basically it was invented during the pacifik theatre. I assume the Japanese Navy used straigh in approaches for the most part.

The name checks out, so I emailed, myself. Easy way to confirm the validity of this claim.

Carrier landing issue as Essex not as #1 in group
Holbeach replied to Foxtrot2571's topic in Bugs and Problems
I placed 5 Carriers in a group, only No. 1 had working wires. The a.i. have no such problens. 4 F4U a.i. took off from their own ships and all 4 returned to their own ships with working wires. Also their wires had a different animation, with full retraction rather than simply disappearing. .. -
Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Holbeach replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
The tailwheel should rotate through 360 deg, but it doesn't. That in itself is wrong. But if you lift the tail off the ground, you still can't push through a crosswind of more than about 6 kt. Any additional power will simply skid the mainwheel along the ground. Even with the tailwheel retracted, using the tail as a skid, you still can't push through a crosswind. Strong wind effect on the tail, low rudder prop wind effect, low friction with wheels on the ground, tail wheel not rotating. Therefore Taxi is impossible except in very low wind conditions. .. -

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Morat replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
Don't forget the OLED I'm a total OLED snob since I got my first phone with an OLED screen. Now my laptop, my TV, my PSVR2 are all OLED. Just need to replace my monitor... but that's a pricy item! -

Zero is, fundamentally, a naval aircraft, and as such, I'd expect we'll be flying from a WWII Japanese carrier most of the time. I'd expect them to use an approach pattern similar to what every other nation did, but I wonder what they did differently from the US and British carriers. Any info about how to realistically take off and land on a Japanese carrier would be appreciated.

check procedures CMDS Programs 5 and 6 are swapped.
BIGNEWY replied to MeanJim's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi, if you create a DTC file with the settings of your choice, you can then load the file onto the aircraft. And you will have your preference. In the video you dont seem to load any DTC file. thank you -

Wow, given the drama the last time anyone tried touching Rafale (long ago), it seems that there's been some real positive change at Dassault. I wouldn't expect any official news until the initial version of the Rafale is out, but after that... who knows? It'd be nice to have that jet in DCS. I'd love to see some non-US naval aviation.

Does DCS benefit bigly from OLED?
Hiob replied to Beirut's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Make sure, you use a blank (black) screen as screensaver with a short enable-time when in Desktop-use to minimize wear and tear on the panel. Apart from that I don't have any special care taken for the screen.
